This is a time of crisis—whether it’s a man-made crisis in Washington, D.C., or the cost-of-living crisis we face here at home. We have to have someone who knows how to get us through a crisis. That’s what I’ve done—whether it was getting us out of the COVID crisis when I was Secretary of Health and Human Services or getting us through the avian flu or monkeypox crises, where I had to declare states of emergency in each of those cases. No other candidate can say they’ve done that. No other candidate can say they have balanced a budget larger than the budget of the state of California. No one can say they’ve gone toe to toe and beaten Donald Trump the way I can. I sued him over 120 times when he was president the first time and I was attorney general—and I beat him.
