Thank you for addressing the concerns raised from yesterday's tweet but simply advising young men to 'fill the gap' falls short. They need more substantial guidance to address these issues. What's absent from the bad boys upbringing that drives them toward such negative behavior?

Don't talk down on the Somali boys who joined gangs or didn't do well in education. There is reason for it. Somali households in US or Europe are dysfunctional. Single mothers can't teach theirs sons how to be a man. So to be honest the first generation somalis failed as parents.

it all goes back to the parents, the fathers are present but not present in their children’s lives EMOTIONALLY. the mothers baby and enable their sons but are harsh on their daughters. somalis will never get ahead until the boys get their shit together.
