When there's a need to post videos of people saying, "It's safe," it tells me it probably isn't safe.

I come from Europe but spend a lot of time in Cambodia and the Middle East. Cambodia isn't Gulf State safe but it's a lot safer than London. What's more is that the police in Cambodia are visibility being proactive to to stamp out the obvious problems such as the scammers.

Cambodia can actually be very safe for tourists, but ironically only if they believe it isn’t. That way they will be careful with their phones and watch out for crazy traffic behavior.
