This poor woman is done. The Southwest gate agent insisted her non-verbal, Autistic sons scan their own boarding passes, even after she explained they were unable to do it themselves. She just wants to go home and feels discriminated against. What should the airline do for her?

As Erika was checking her luggage for a Southwest flight, the gate agent decided to question her about her size. Do you need extra room? Will your arm rest go all the way down? Erika had already “upgraded” her seat so that she could have a window seat on the flight, but the gate agent and her supervisor refused to let her on unless she bought a second seat. Do you think the Southwest gate agent was right in doing so or should she have been allowed to prove that she could/couldn’t fit in the seat? Was this fat shaming or actual concern for the other passengers? I will say, Erika went toe to toe with Southwest over this issue and how it was handled. Should the policy for “plus size” passengers be displayed when purchasing airline tickets?

Video: Southwest Airlines calls @SacSheriff on a guitarist because she wanted to board a flight with her instrument. "You should be ashamed," Southwest gate agent says. (Disclosure: The guitarist is in a band with my partner.)

On a Southwest Airlines flight, a woman was singled out for being “too big.” The flight attendant mentioned her needing to purchase an additional seat since she felt that she was taking up two. Do you agree that some people of a certain size should have to do this? I think if the seatbelt fits you are fine.

She checked in. Had a boarding pass. But at the gate she’s told: you’re not getting on this flight. She protests loudly — “Why?” Security warns her: leave now or face criminal trespass. Her husband argues she has to be on that plane. So who actually decides? Not the ticket agent. Not the passenger. The final authority is the airline’s captain, backed by the airline and airport security. Once they deem a passenger disruptive, unsafe, intoxicated, medically unfit, or refusing crew instructions — boarding privileges are over. A boarding pass is permission… not a guarantee. Why was she likely removed? Most removals come down to behavior before the plane even leaves the ground: arguing with staff, escalating emotions, intoxication, documentation issues, or refusing policies. The moment it looks like it could become a problem at 35,000 feet, they stop it at the gate. Air travel rule #1: You don’t win arguments with the crew — the sky has no exit doors. What do you think really happened?

ALERT: Woman throws a fit after missing her flight, showing up at her gate several minutes late and being denied boarding in Mexico City. The unruly woman supposedly showed up 7 minutes late for her AeroMexico flight at Mexico City International Airport, and the attendants had already closed the doors. They refused to let the angry woman board, causing her to have a temper tantrum and start shoving, screaming, and even kicking.

Meet Janielle Wiseman, this young lady went to check her bag for her Southwest flight, when she arrived at the service counter she was told she would not be allowed to board unless she purchased another seat, according to her this is the first time SouthWest has ever enforced their “passenger size limit” and SHE fits in the seat comfortably and SouthWest is “discriminating” against her 🙄 She claims because of her size she always chooses an aisle seat, keeping the aisle clear is a strictly enforced imperative, so that would require the arm going up and space encroachment of the center seat. Of course she needs early boarding because of her ankle, what would you do if upon boarding you discovered you had the seat next to Janielle ? She made it to her destination, after purchasing another seat, hopefully she will be in the computer and unable to exploit online ticket purchases to game the system.

She was told she wasn’t getting on the plane. Instead of leaving the gate, she turned the situation into an entirely different kind of departure. Breeze Airways staff denied Rhonda Parall boarding after believing she was too impaired to fly. She refused to leave the gate area, argued that the airline had no right to stop her from flying and began yelling while other travelers and families were nearby. An airport deputy stepped in and explained that the decision had already been made: she wasn’t boarding the flight, and she needed to leave the area. She still refused. After several attempts to get her to walk away voluntarily, deputies placed her in handcuffs and escorted her from the gate. Parall was issued an appearance ticket for disorderly conduct.

A woman was about to miss her flight when she spotted a uniformed U.S. Army soldier. She ran to him and asked, "I'm about to miss my flight. Can you hold my daughter and run with me to the boarding gate?" He did not hesitate. He picked the child up and sprinted with her. 🫡❤️

A southwest airlines gate agent a refused to scan the boarding passes for a mother’s two non-verbal autistic children, even after she explained that they did not understand how to do it themselves. The situation escalated and reportedly caused the mother to have a mental breakdown in front of other passengers. According to La'Quisha Logan the mother and witnesses, gate agent Charles at Gate B-9 on Flight 1948 refused to scan boarding passes for her two non-verbal autistic children. The mother explained that her kids didn't understand how to scan the passes themselves and that she needed to do it for them , but the agent allegedly wouldn't accept that and insisted the children hold and scan their own passes. Witnesses noted that a white couple traveling right ahead of them had no issues when the wife simply held their passes. the mother was only able to get help after a training coordinator stepped in to assist and comfort the mother

She thought arguing her case would get her back on the flight. Instead, it ended with her leaving the airport in handcuffs. A passenger at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport was denied boarding after Southwest gate staff said she became disruptive during a dispute over pre-boarding. Deputies repeatedly told her the airline had made its decision and instructed her to leave the secure gate area so the issue could be handled at the main counter. She continued arguing, demanded the employee’s name, and refused to walk away despite several clear warnings. When deputies finally told her she was under arrest for refusing to leave, the encounter escalated into a struggle before she was restrained, escorted through the terminal, and taken to jail. Based on the available public information, the case stems from two primary allegations: - Criminal trespass - Resisting an officer without violence

Imagine you wake up in the morning to find a strange woman on your couch. This couple got that surprise and are trying to get her to leave. They give her a chance to avoid jail, but she just doesn’t seem to comprehend it. They finally have to call the cops and have her removed. So how did she get in? Maybe they don’t lock their doors? Would you have given her a chance to leave or just called the authorities? I would have made the call—I don’t trust people.

This little girl was measured for a ride at Disney World. The requirement was 44 inches. The park employee gave it a good look but then had her spin around and jump a few times. 🤯 She then told her parents she was too short to be able to get on that ride. Many people said that she was the right height and it is absolutely ridiculous over something like 1MM and that if she wore boots she would have been able to go on. Others said the rules are the rules and it is to protect her from serious injury. My opinion, I would have wanted my daughter on the ride. At that little of a difference I’d sign a waiver. I’d have come back later with boots on her. But that’s me. What do you think? Do you think missing it by that little is serious enough for her to not be able to ride or do you think that’s overreacting and they should have just let her on?

This woman flew from Houston to Miami on Southwest Airlines. Now she was flying out of Miami but Southwest is now telling her that her two bags that she has exceed 62 inches and she will have to pay $200 for each bag - $400 total, extra. The issue is, she flew from Houston to Miami with those same bags and they did not charge her on the first leg of the trip. She said the bags will cost more than the ticket. Some said those bags are definitely oversized and she got lucky the first time that she didn’t have to pay and if you think about it, she saved $400. So, be thankful and pay the oversized bag fees. Others said that Southwest made the error and should waive the fee because she would have had the opportunity to decide if she was going to pay or not if she knew the price when she flew from Houston to Miami. What do you think? Do you think she was fortunate the first time and should just bite the bullet and pay this time or do you think since Southwest made an error the first time they should waive the fee on this trip?

ALERT: Karen McGee was awarded almost $100,000 for an incident in an Austin airport that caused her to break her wrist, spend 2 nights in jail, and miss her flight. McGee, 71, was traveling from Florida to Seattle and had a layover at Austin Bergstrom International Airport in September 2022. McGee, who is hard of hearing, sat in front of her next gate and took out her hearing aids to block out some of the extra noise they pick up. After some time passed and no one began boarding at that gate, McGee realized she had missed an announcement that her gate had changed and her flight left without her. McGee switched from a Delta flight to an Alaska flight that didn't get in until 9 pm and approached the help desk to board an earlier flight. One gate agent was “dismissive,” and McGee tried to speak to another agent, who stated that McGee started yelling at her and that her breath reeked of alcohol. Austin Police Department stated McGee “chugged” wine and proceeded to arrest her, breaking her wrist in the process. McGee was held in the Travis County jail for 2 nights and was released after a judge reviewed the case and decided she should no longer be detained. McGee sued the city and won $92,500.

This woman checked her camera and saw that another woman came and stole her whole gate for her fence. She drove around the neighborhood and found the car and the gate. She ended up calling the police and when the police arrive, the first thing they ask her to do is to show the video. She took offense at first because she thought they didn’t believe her. Turns out they did believe her, they just thought the whole thing was so unbelievable they wanted to see it too. After they all had their laugh they went and helped her get her fence back. This ended well for her but do you think it was wrong they wanted to see the video for their laugh first?
