giselle talks about the two things she checks most carefully before going on stage, her throat condition and her shoes. 🌙 when you’re dancing and singing at the same time, your throat gets super dry, and if there aren’t any breaks in between, i can’t drink water, so in those moments, i just try to find any way i can to drink water. and for shoes, first of all, heavy shoes are really difficult for me. i’m not good with heavy shoes at all, so i try to avoid them as much as possible. also, on stage, there are these lift like platforms… and between them, there are these tiny gaps, and if i’m wearing thin heels, they can get stuck in those gaps. if they get stuck, i’ll fall, right? and that would be so embarrassing. so for me, how i try to prevent situations like that is by: 1) i prefer block heels over thin heels. 2) i prefer heels that are as low as possible. i always try to look for shoes that are the most comfortable but still pretty at the same time, but honestly, it’s really hard. that’s why, no matter what outfit i’m wearing, i always think about two things first. one is shoes, and the second is pants. i think those two are the hardest things for me to find.

I am very sad to hear of Natalie Fleet’s resignation. It takes a great deal of courage and dedication to serve in public office, especially in a role like that, and she deserves respect for doing it. I’ve always had a lot of time for Natalie, and for her lads as well. She actually gave me a bit of comfort a while back, if I’m honest. She called me “mush” publicly on here, or on TikTok. I can’t remember exactly which platform it was now, as it was a while ago. At the time, I viewed it as a bit of a political point scoring moment for myself and thought it gave me an opportunity to hit one back by suggesting that an elected Member of Parliament was being unprofessional. Looking back though, I think I was the one who got that wrong. The more I’ve thought about it since, the more it has meant something to me. There aren’t many people in politics who use the kind of vocabulary I grew up with. It made me smile and reminded me of the estate I grew up on in Newark. I’d never spoken to any of her lads before, and then one day I got a video through on Snapchat from some random lad. I was genuinely about to block him, to be honest! Anyway, I decided to open the chat, and it turned out to be a video message from Natalie, a bit like the Cameo-style videos that I sometimes do for people. It really made me smile and laugh. That was the first and only time I’ve spoken to one of her lads, and I haven’t spoken to any of them since. It was on the day of the Gorton and Denton by-election back in February. I hope you don’t mind me sharing this Natalie, but I still find it funny now. It’s a reminder that there are still some very normal people involved in politics. (Nigel Farage certainly isn’t one of them! 😂) Feel free to watch the video below. I wish Natalie nothing but the very best for the future. Maybe one day I’ll pay a visit to Shirebrook to pick up some new running gear from Sports Direct. If I do, I’ll definitely pop into the constituency office and thank her again in person. One final thing I’d add is that I think we should normalise elected Members of Parliament being more approachable and communicating in a more natural, authentic way. Politics doesn’t always have to be suited and booted. Sometimes it’s okay to speak to people like normal human beings. Yeah, maybe the format was a set back in the past, but at the same time there’s a lot of positives to it as well. And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. It’s part of the game, I get it, but it’s something you don’t have to deal with anymore. So that part is a very nice aspect. The team is what really made it for me. Being able to be part of a team, represent a team, play for my teammates, with my teammates and against my teammates, is something that to me that has always been very, very special. When you get a victory to share, it’s always better to have a team to share it with. So it’s what was the most attractive part and when we started discussions it gets to a point where even though I’m ambitious, I’m not greedy. So there’s a give and take and the format is something that I can easily overlook, and I’m pretty sure I can learn to enjoy it, I’ll just have to get used to it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn to enjoy it. Yeah, maybe the format was a set back in the past, but at the same time there’s a lot of positives to it as well. And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. It’s part of the game, I get it, but it’s something you don’t have to deal with anymore. So that part is a very nice aspect. The team is what really made it for me. Being able to be part of a team, represent a team, play for my teammates, with my teammates and against my teammates, is something that to me that has always been very, very special. When you get a victory to share, it’s always better to have a team to share it with. So it’s what was the most attractive part and when we started discussions it gets to a point where even though I’m ambitious, I’m not greedy. So there’s a give and take and the format is something that I can easily overlook, and I’m pretty sure I can learn to enjoy it, I’ll just have to get used to it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn to enjoy it. To be honest, the more I started thinking about it, the more I started thinking about my college days that were 3 day tournaments, 54 holes, and everybody warmed up together for the most part. beabadoobee clarifies that she doesn’t have an issue with the ‘Artists Who Can vs. Can’t Sing’ videos, but with the comments that she’s been receiving following the trend: “If you go through the [videos], I have commented on them. […] I have commented being like, ‘this is lowkey funny to me.’ It was just like the spamming dude, and everyone from that community coming to my account and saying so much more weirder sh*t. MiniBoo and Boo share their thoughts on the season with Heretics as siblings: MiniBoo: “I mean, if you talk about losses, when we lose, he’s the calmer one. So when we come back home and we have like free time, he’s speaking to me and calming me down because he’s more experienced and he’s more regulated than I am. I’m too emotional. In-game, he’s a big brother to everyone of the players, and he’s kind of the one keeping us calm. It feels like he’s big brother to all of us, not only to me.” Boo: “Yeah, I mean, I agree.
