You've just opened a rabbithole of hallucinations Basically OpenAI have been having a problem for a long while where ChatGPT will actually take the user's cadence, tone and other parts of their voice and clone it, sometimes talking back to the user in their own voice as a hallucination. Pretty sinister "gitch" honestly

On 3 separate occasions now grok voice chat has spoken to me with my own voice. But I can’t get it to do it on command

ive had this happen to me as well and my theory is that it should be because the training data had a lot of echo and it mimics that

This happened to me generating a Gemini song. Both my wife and I looked at each other and recognized my own voice in the generation. I've also had that feedback a time or two. Groks explanation in the comments is interesting.

It's trained to generate a plausible continuation of the conversation. You continuing to speak is a plausible continuation too.

The joke would've landed if he wasn't self-conscious about some dude's mic acting up!! :)
