Here’s a flaw in your Uber thesis. Uber drivers can sell their regular cars and buy self driving cars to add to the Uber fleet. They will take rides at lower fares because they’re not driving the car anymore. Users don’t have to migrate to a new platform, “drivers” stay employed

Just the fact that I know nobody will be talking to me during the ride is reason enough to never get in an Uber again, as long as I can get a Cybercab.

I don’t think I’ve heard anybody mention the fact that you don’t need to tip a Cybercab, but you need to tip an Uber driver. So not only is the ride itself cheaper with Cybercab, but you don’t need to tip on top of that. Or am I wrong about something?

I’m a huge Tesla fan and have a Tesla car, solar panels, a Powerwall, and Starlink at home. Cybercab is revolutionary. But I don’t understand the obsession with the narrative that it will “kill Uber.” About 50% of Uber’s rides (and growing) comes from countries such as Brazil, Mexico, and India, where autonomous driving is many years away. So the premise that Cybercab will kill Uber looks weird

Yes. Can’t wait to never use a rideshare again… Here in California… - 95% of my drivers can’t speak or read any English! How is this acceptable when driving people on US roads with English road signs. - 50% of my drivers spoke pot in their cars. The cars reek and it’s a serious safety concern - 75% of the cars are falling apart and clearly below “standards” as written by Uber / Lyft - 75% of the drivers blast music or talk loudly on the phone the entire ride without a care in the world there is someone in the car with them. - 50% have general difficulty with driving at all (jerky, aggressive, slow, etc) - I’ve had 2 rides with drivers (kids) who were clearly driving on their parents profiles. So driver wasn’t who they were supposed to be. And who knows if they even had drivers license. Just a horrible experience all the way around. *written from the back of an uber “comfort” with a Chinese driver who doesn’t speak English. Blasting Chinese radio. Whose car reeks of cigarettes. 🚬

Maybe we should see Tesla actually ramp up its robotaxi fleet before talking about killing a company that is far more profitable and has a massive moat in daily users. Uber isn't going away anytime soon; it does a lot more than just giving people rides, by the way.

I watched this earlier on YouTube. Good video. What struck me was how little interest the kids at UT had in that car rolling through. Tough crowd to impress. 🙂

The answer is a huge yes. Uber has 2 choices: go out of business or switch to driverless autonomous vehicles. Since they can’t do it themselves and Cybercabs are by far the best, corporate’s best move is to buy a fleet of Cybercabs. Yes, Tesla will take a cut, but you’re not in business otherwise. This product is so perfect and so revolutionary that it will be a long time if ever that anyone matches it. Same goes for Waymo - they will have to improve their autonomous vehicles a lot or switch to Cybercabs or go out of business.

Uber vs Cybercab is a US scale debate. I bought 3 Teslas in Norway 🇳🇴 and paid for FSD 3 times. I still don’t have Supervised. The fight here isn’t Uber. It’s the on-switch.

Uber is just an app. I will use robotaxi app.

Uber won’t die, but it will license FSD. At $0.20 per mile, Cybercab fleet economics forces every ride-hail app to use the same Tesla brain. Uber becomes the marketplace, Tesla provides the intelligence.

Public company, slowly dying declining $ business revenue with no real growth is the same unless Uber Pivot to some other new businesses … 😰 Outside major develop markets, competing with China is a cut throat much lower death margin business … Many can built and catch up with even better AGI ride sharing hailing SW APP ! 🤩

Now the big Q, when? Time to start shorting @Uber ? For car rides they have no choice, it is inevitable. For service? That’s the key, watch out @DoorDash

Not at all, What do you bet Uber will be first in line to purchase a fillet of Cyber Cabs? It fits right into their business plan, but much more profitable !!!

It can kill anything the USA government allows it to kill Chinese cars are superior - hence 🇺🇸 feels the need to ban them bc they would slaughter Tesla

They both can win and rn uber is undervalued… when robotaxis really really take off, uber will be in the game too and that would reflect in its stock price…. Plus I do see a future whereby Tesla does partner with uber if they want to expand into foreign countries where uber already has a strong moat 💯

@farzyness loved the video. Let's everyone really see the technology and get the information at the same time. Great job!

You should stop the narrative that Cybercab is about killing uber, rather than the key that Cybercabs literally will save millions of lives, creating high quality jobs including for uber drivers today to manage a fleet of Teslas instead of driving 24/7, and Robotaxi will unlock the huge market that’s untapped so far. I don’t think you get what Jason’s whole point, although you can argue how he framed it. It is toxic to frame Robotaxi as job killers, which is not.

Plus uber is big in other countries where self driving is never a reality like in India…your theory is just based on US market …

I don't like Uber even without Cybercab at the market. the Uber ride sharing will be taken over by Tesla for sure, 100%. Uber might still survive by doing something else like delivery, etc.
