Tariffs 101: Tariffs are not paid by countries. Canada does not pay them to the US. Likewise, the US does not pay them to Canada. The importer from that country imposing the tariffs, pays it. For example, if Trump imposes 50% tariffs on trucks made by GM, but GM made them in Canada. GM is paying $50K in tariffs. Not Canada. And that $50K extra in tariffs, is ultimately paid by the consumer. Ultimately, it's a tax paid by businesses, passed down to the consumer of the country that imposed the tariffs. Likewise, Canada imposing tariffs on the US, only hurts Canadian customers. Countertariffs are done strategically, to prevent the flight of manufacturing, from Canada, to the US. In the end, during trade wars like this, consumers always end up paying the price.

A 100lb guy can't be the boxing heavy weight champion of the world, no matter how much he wants to be... Is that unfair? No, it's reality. A free and fair society doesn't force the mass majority of people to go along with the delusions and fantasies of an extreme minority of people. Biological women feeling safe in change rooms, showers at public pools, or in women's sports, is not a fundamental right they have anymore, in Canada. Now that is unfair. Anyone who says differently is abusive or psychologically broken.

Oh man, Naheed Nenshi just mentioned the "supremacy of the courts" like it’s some sacred constitutional principle that trumps everything. Buddy, we have parliamentary supremacy in Canada, not judicial supremacy. The Charter literally has a Section 33 notwithstanding clause so Parliament and/or provinces can tell the courts “thanks, but no thanks”. There is no such thing as “supremacy of the courts". Never has been. The courts interpret laws, while elected legislatures make (and can override) them. That’s Canadian Civics 101. Nenshi out here acting like the Court is somehow the final boss of democracy instead of, you know, the people and their representatives. Imagine thinking unelected judges get the last word.... forever. Stay in school, Naheed. Or at least read the Constitution before you run for Premier.

K-Pop and anti-Black Racism: Lee Gi-kwang (famous K-Pop artist) doing blackface. I believe this video was aired in 2015 on South Korean live TV. In the video, famous K-Pop artist Lee Gi-kwang, a member of the boy group 'Beast,' is doing black face and also performs black caricatural acts such as eating a watermelon. K-Pop, and pop in general (and practically many other well-known music genres), is heavily inspired by African American music and culture. It's so disrespectful--on par with spitting on someone's face and slapping them--to be a K-Pop artist and doing blackface. Their revenue practically comes from the cultural appropriation of African American culture in which they give no credit to. I don't know how this person still has fans, nor even has a career still. It's so disheartening to see. I am sure many of you have also seen former NCT member Mark Lee also proudly wearing a shirt with the Confederate flag on it. His main discography is quite literally rap 😭, and he was born in Canada no less. It's crazy how people excuse their disgusting racism with statements such as "they didn't know" or "they had no choice." Bruh if they didn't know then why is it so funny? The punchline is racism, particularly against black people. Like, do they not know how it feels to be discriminated against for genetic traits they had no decision in choosing at birth? It's human decency 101 this is unforgivable.
