Carney says that Canada will be building up our military, in part, to send troops to Ukraine. If a peace deal is struck, Canada is willing to redeploy our troops to Ukraine as a "backstop" and send more long-term monetary, logistics, and training support. This is never going to end. We will be paying for this for generations.

In Brussels, Estonia’s Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and I signed an agreement on security cooperation and long-term support between our countries. The agreement covers cooperation in the supply of arms and military equipment, training, activities within the IT Coalition and other Capability Coalitions, as well as in-depth defense industry cooperation.
