Having never read the books, watching the shoe and seeing it canceled has led me to reading the books. Its pretty wild to me to see how far the show deviated and I'm barely in book 1 (read the prequel, too). I can see why fans didn't like the show.

Correction: Making this show was a crime against humanity. It took a massive dump on the source material. I’m so happy it was canceled.

It serves as a warning. Don't screw with the story. The people watching it are fans of the story. I was getting frustrated with it. Corporate committee decisions always ruin everything and diminish it to the lowest common denominator. They should all be fired.

Best book series, worst adaptation. Even S8 of GOT was better than their season 1. Sad because WOT is arguably better than ASOIAF and i read all 5 books 3 times each.

S1 was mediocre. S2 got better but was uneven. S3 was very good. So it is regrettable, but it took a while for the show to truly get going so it never developed enough of an audience. It is what it is.

When every character was suddenly either gay or bi, I stopped watching. And I've read thru the books like 9 times. I really like this story, but the tv series is only based on the story.
