During his vetting, Hassan Joho pledged never to be a "desk CS" and has since committed to connecting directly with wananchi to understand their struggles firsthand. His recent visits have revealed the hardships and exploitation facing local communities, particularly the suffering caused by mining activities and related injustices. Joho’s hands-on approach highlights his dedication to addressing the real issues affecting Kenyans on the ground.

ODM experts are slowly and surely transforming things in the country.

Let the government compensate the residents and relocate them to; Arabuko forest, Shakahola etc. We need the mining industry to flourish without infringing the rights of the local residents.

Don't pretend lke you ain't aware that this government has never been human since Ruto became the commander in chief

At least today you're making sense. Hiyo kichwa kubwa leo imefikiria kitu ya maana

They deserve justice. This is extremely disheartening.

Joho is doing an amazing job, clearly he was prepared for it.

That's my community and we've been fighting and demanding for rights for a while. It started with our grandfather's, passed to our parents, & now to us as kid's 😭. If you visit the factory 🏭, & mining site you'll be surprised 😯😞😭😭. They have been corrupting local leaders 😪

I have spoken b4 of progressive leader! That is what I had in mind when I support Ruto presidency in 2022, despite many voicing against. He turned out to be a retrogressive leader. On the contrary, Mr. Joho action is encouraging & progressive. He earns a few rare applauss 👏, especially with the knowledge that most international mining companies in Africa destroy the surrounding environment, catchment areas & compromising the health of Indigenous populations as it is happening in the above case. All because of laxity national laws & which are equally rarely enforced
