NASA DID NOT TRUST ONE SENSOR that is why Apollo landed. radar was noisy. gyros drifted. the computer had to guess where the spacecraft really was while every instrument lied a little. that same problem now sits on quant desks. not “where is the spacecraft?” but: what is the real relationship between these two assets right now? most retail traders freeze that relationship into one number. run regression get beta trade the spread pretend the ratio stays alive it does not. the market keeps moving. the hedge ratio drifts. your “market neutral” position quietly becomes directional. a Kalman filter estimates a hidden state from noisy measurements. it does not blindly trust the last tick. it does not blindly trust the old model. it blends both. every tick becomes: > predict the current state > observe the noisy price > measure the surprise > decide how much to trust it > update the estimate that trust-weight is the whole trick. if the old estimate is shaky and the new data is clean, the filter moves fast. if the old estimate is strong and the tick is noisy, it barely moves. that is why a static beta is a dead photograph. a Kalman hedge ratio is a live estimate. the same math that helped NASA fuse noisy signals now helps quants keep a pairs trade from lying to them.

$Do you think turning your graphics down to performance mode in Fortnite is cheating? Why can't console players do this and only PC players? Did you know that 85% of people who play Fortnite use a console? So why is this feature only available to a small fraction of the player base and not the majority? There's no debate that playing on low graphics or performance mode gives you a playing advantage. I literally demonstrate how much of an advantage it gives you in this video so don't even bother arguing this if you're a bot. It's easier on the eyes, easier to see your enemy and there's little to no special effects and no shadows to get in the way of gameplay. Also in storm you can basically just see perfectly except it's purple. What do you think? Should they offer a performance mode in the graphics settings on console? Would you use it?$

Plant Protein is as Good as Animal Protein for Building Muscle? New Study Breakdown! A new study just dropped demonstrating that a plent blend was as good as whey protein at building muscle over 12 weeks in untrained men undergoing a resistance training program. The headline may surprise some of you, but when I read the full study, I was not surprised at all… why? Because the plant blend was matched to whey in leucine and total EAAs. When you equalize the actual anabolic signals, the gap closes — which is exactly what my PhD thesis showed nearly 20 years ago. Study details (PMID: 41059835) • Randomized, controlled trial in untrained men • Whey vs. plant blend (pea + soy + added leucine) • 12-week supervised resistance-training program • Outcomes: quadriceps cross-sectional area (ultrasound), DEXA, lower-body strength • Result: Both groups improved significantly, with no between-group differences in hypertrophy or strength. This is in line with my PhD research which demonstrated that wheat (a poor protein for stimulating muscle protein synthesis) was as good as whey at stimulating MPS when leucine was added to wheat protein to match the leucine content of whey (PMID: 22818257) Important nuance: The plant blend used in this study is not commercially available, and appears that it was formulated + fortified to match whey’s leucine/EAA profile. That’s why it performed similarly, not because all plant proteins are inherently equivalent to whey for anabolism If your plant protein is low in leucine or EAAs… the results won’t look like this. That said, a plant protein sources can still be as anabolic as animal protein sources if their leucine/EAA content is high enough or if you consume enough protein overall

Whilst your brain has rather coarse-grained high level models of mobile phones (which is why you *can* have dreams containing phones), it struggles to replicate the low-level detailed functionalities that require a constant stream of visual sensory data... For example, the output of the calculator app, typing/sending messages, navigating between apps and other functions are all dependent on complicated processes that occur under the hood of the phone that your brain can't replicate... This is why using a phone in a dream will usually be extremely frustrating -- nothing behaves as you expect or as it should. A lot of the pieces will be there but they will be garbled and endlessly confusing... As I discuss on Rogan here, this is a good reality test for lucid dreaming. If your phone is working as it should, you're almost certainly not dreaming...

A few months ago, ARMY Cavite Fanbase was honored to be invited to the Cebu Pacific Airlines Headquarters ✈️ for a discovery session on how they could help make BTS Festa in June extra meaningful for ARMYs across the country and even beyond! 💜 Upon arriving at their vibrant HQ, we were warmly welcomed by the Cebu Pacific Brand Marketing Team. Their genuine hospitality instantly made us feel at home. 🤗 What made the moment even more special was the presence of Cebu Pacific employees who are also proud ARMYs, also known as the CEB ARMYs. 💜 There are so many ARMYs within the company that they couldn't all fit in the meeting room, so representatives from different departments were invited to join. It truly felt like a heartfelt purple gathering filled with shared love and passion for BTS. 💜👥 With the breathtaking view of Cebu Pacific airplanes 🛬 as our backdrop, we exchanged stories about what BTS and Festa means to each of us. It was more than just a meeting, it was a space of connection, understanding, and creativity between a beloved airline and the ARMY community. 🫶 Together, we explored meaningful ideas to make this year’s Festa unforgettable...not only for those flying to Seoul 🇰🇷, but also for the many ARMYs celebrating from their homes 🏠. Another Crazy Night! I don't normally do voice overs on the night sky videos, usually put some chill music but I'm a little annoyed at the common responses I get. The NPC's scream "it's all satellites!" even though the math ain't mathin on speeds, trajectories, altitudes, luminosity and size. and for those that believe the Artemis mission was real, ask yourself if I can catch all of these from the ground, why did you not see a single one in any of NASA's videos or pictures? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️💀(I'll give you a hint, it's because they didn't actually go) I can't seem to get any of my true earth, flat earth or biblical cosmologist brethren to acknowledge the evidence either, because most of them claim "it's all helium balloons!" Well the math ain't mathin on that explanation either. in my opinion it's got to be one or more of the following.(objects aside from traditional helium weather balloons and "meteors") 1. advanced man made tech(breakaway civ maybe?) 2. supernatural/spiritual (good, evil, or both like the 15/1600 ufo battles) 3. highest altitude anomalies (harder to see) could be using firmament and tech, or laser light show. 4. "aliens" (basically the evil version of #2 ) Thats all I got. enjoy your jetsons reality
