Can’t make this up, a thread: At the rally for car access at High Park, counter-protesters blocked one road — and a driver pushed his car into them, then took off his shirt and had a loud confrontation.

A short time later a person who identified himself as a city employee tried to defuse the tense situation, saying the protester’s voices had been heard and it’s time they go home:

Except — that second guy looked awfully familiar…

We noticed the resemblance — so I asked him what he was doing. He denied he was the same person:

Seeing some other posts about this — I have to say it is rare that a protest (in this case about how safe cars are in High Park) attracts behaviour that appears to show the exact opposite.

Dax Shepard has a shortlist of people you should never fight with. One of them is the man who takes off his shirt when he gets out of a car for a confrontation. It signals that he has ruined so many shirts fighting that he knows enough to take it off first.

@CTVToronto I am sick of cyclists/grassroots activists and pedestrians thinking they own the city and its roads. Drivers should have easy access as much as anyone, especially given the fact that our public transit is sorely lacking. I'll go one further; we're not equipped for cyclists
