Get ready for a WILD ride across the US this week! Extreme jet stream means extreme heat in the West, and very early cold in the East! 105+ in the Pacific NW, 30s in the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest, and a real taste of Autumn in the East. No Dice for you Florida, but this extreme jet will at least act as a tropical trouble blocker - like a wall - for at least the next 10 days. Temps will reach 35 degrees plus and minus normal in the west and east respectively.

A 180! After a record hot Christmas across the Middle & parts of the South, a New Year’s Arctic Blast promises a Deep South Freeze by New Year’s Eve. Gonna be quite the shock to the system, with 20s into North FL, 30s Central FL, and this one may actually reach far South FL with 40s! These are real temps. Wind chills will be lower. #florida #cold

After an extraordinary holiday heat dome across the US, get ready for a Polar Vortex Invasion next week! Cold air will surge deeeeeep South with 20s in the Southeast and 30s far south into #Florida. What’s most interesting is airmass won’t be super cold up north - just slightly below normal. Instead the South will get the brunt, with the SE & FL 15-20° below normal!

The Arctic flood gates are opening up, as a strong & warm (relatively) block grows over Greenland. That warmth will shove the frigid Polar Vortex south, with multiple cold plunges in the batters box for the next 10-15 days in the Midwest, Great Lakes, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The chilly air will visit the Deep South and #Florida periodically too.

Tonight’s #cold shot is merely a preview for what’s coming this upcoming weekend. A bomb cyclone along the eastern seaboard will likely spin down the coldest air in years, with freezing temps possible even in South #Florida. The pink is 30-40° below normal. And it’s most models, not just one showing it.

Outlandishly amplified jet stream pattern for August next week! Widespread 50s for morning lows in the Midwest/ Ohio Valley and Northeast. A taste of false fall! Even some nice relief in the deep south! Nope, sorry, not you Florida. Meanwhile in NW Canada a big heat dome will hover, with temps 30F + above normal and highs in the 90s near the Tundra.

Much of the nation is about to experience a Massive March Heatwave over the next 10 days, with temps jumping 20-40°F above normal. We call it a blowtorch. 70s and big-time snow melt & flooding in the Northeast by next week? It’s possible! Meanwhile Florida will also trend summery with highs ~10° above norms and peak daytime highs flirting with 90° by week’s end near the West coast.

Today is known as a rare “Upside Down” day. With gusty NW winds (30-35 mph) temps will max out very early, then fall all afternoon, plummeting after sunset and bottoming out near/ below freezing Friday morning for many. Follow this guy’s lead, and dress in layers. Keeps you much warmer than one big coat. #florida #freeze #cold #snow

Our historic heat dome is just getting going, will peak Thursday and Friday, but continue well into next week. Here’s a look at day by day high temps. Wait for it. Many cities will break all-time March and even April heat records. And the heat dome itself will likely be the strongest in the US prior to early June!! #heatwave
