Whenever I listen to Maurice Bishop’s words, I find myself struck by the fact that the great waves of decolonization across the Global South, like the Non-Aligned Movement, did not aim solely to build solidarity among themselves to challenge the capitalist-imperialist system, but also believed that this struggle must be international, so that humanity can live in a world liberated from exploitation, poverty, oppression, inequality, violence, and death.

The Epstein Class waves the American flag to send our kids to die for their profits. We reclaim it to fight for our future and bring back the revolutionary spirit of our country. On the very day the Administration launched strikes on Iran, martyring the Ayatollah and bringing the world one step closer to World War 3, we gathered at the TX Capitol for a demonstration in solidarity with anti-imperialist forces worldwide and against the Epstein Class. The timing was no coincidence. It was a stark reminder that the war machine and the pedophile network are run by the same Western ruling class. The Texas chapter of the ACP made it clear: The American Working Class refuses to be the cannon fodder for the Epstein Class. Our message was clear: 🇺🇸 We are reclaiming the American flag from the occupiers. What makes Kshama Sawant different is she understands that in order to win victories for working people you have to confront capital: “Under capitalism we didn’t make it a class struggle, it is a class struggle because the capitalist class and their politicians fight to the bitter end for their interests. We have to do the same for the interests of the working class.” She is running as an independent socialist for Congress to take on the capitalist duopoly, end the wars, stop the genocide, and nationalize health care.
