Greatest performance in television history--James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano.

No one could have ever played Tony better than Jim.

There could only ever be one Tony Soprano, but it’s also really cool that so many men who auditioned for the role ended up on the show playing other significant characters.

Just watched both of these episodes on Sky. Absolutely loved them both. Quite emotional seeing all the footage of JG. Really can’t imagine anyone else having played that role. His size and presence were needed. Artie and Jackie Aprile couldn’t have done it justice IMO.

Even though he never had the makings of a varsity athlete, he was the right man for the job.
