Casting John Cena as Peacemaker is the same as casting Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, pure perfection

It’s more similar to casting Chris Pratt as Peter Quill Took a C level character and made him a household name, changing a lot of aspects of the original character but no one was offended because of how low level the OG character was. Ryan Reynolds didn’t change shit of Deadpool to become him on the big screens.

John Cena brought a perfect mix of absurdity, charisma, and unexpected depth to Peacemaker, just like Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool with his wit, timing, and irreverence.

They could have literally hired any lunkhead for the role and it would be exactly the same.
