Catholics for Catholics made a special trip to visit Bishop René Henry Gracida at his home in Texas to hear his message to American Catholics. At 102 years old, this could very well be one of the last messages from America’s Oldest Bishop and WWII Veteran. It carries weight....

Catholics 4 Catholics Before he ever wore a bishop’s miter, Bishop René Henry Gracida flew 32 missions in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving first as a tail gunner and then as a flight engineer in the 303rd Air Expeditionary Group during World War II. During his fourth mission over the Ruhr Valley, his aircraft was hit by flak, caught fire, and lost two engines. As the plane plunged from 25,000 feet toward the earth, the pilot ordered the crew to prepare to bail out. By some miracle, he regained control at treetop level and cancelled the order. A piece of shrapnel struck less than a foot above the bishop’s head. He kept it. A man who survived Nazi flak over Europe went on to serve God with the same fearless conviction. His message has always been the same. Keep the Faith. God Bless America 🙏🏼🇺🇸 Catholics for Catholics 🇺🇲

🚨A RARE MOVE by a Virginia Bishop Ahead of Election Day "Catholic Bishop Michael Burbidge says he has never before asked every priest in his diocese to do what he requested this weekend: read a letter at Mass urging Catholics to oppose two Virginia constitutional amendments on abortion and marriage." "Across 70 parishes serving more than 430,000 Catholics in Northern Virginia, worshippers heard Burbidge warn against what he called 'two dangerous ballot initiatives'—proposed constitutional amendments that Virginians will decide Nov. 3. Early voting begins Friday." "The effort follows a joint statement Burbidge issued with Richmond Bishop Barry Knestout in August. In his latest letter, Burbidge urged parishioners to pledge to vote at cast ballots early beginning Friday, and encourage their family, friends, and colleagues to oppose the amendments." ... Catholics aren’t just present in American public life—they’re helping shape it, from Congress to the governor’s mansion to the Supreme Court. Catholics now make up over 20% of the US population. At the 2026 National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, Michael Knowles drove that point home ending his speech by saying, “Not only can a Catholic become president, but an American can even be the Pope.”

URGENT CALL FOR PRAYER! Bishop Rob Mutsaerts was just in a serious car crash on his way home from hearing confessions. He suffered a dislocated hip, fractured pelvis, and broken elbow. His Excellency was one of four courageous bishops who stood with Bishop Schneider at the 2025 CIC and led Catholics around the world via livestream in an Act of Reparation for the August 2025 LGBT pilgrimage into St. Peter's Basilica. Below is a clip from his 2025 CIC address. Please pray for the rapid and full recovery of this faithful shepherd!

Powerful words from Sarah Bishop in her closing speech this afternoon at the end of the #Synod #LLF debate I think it was the most memorable and moving speech I have heard from a bishop in years. I remain grateful to her for all that she has done in leading us through the last few years, at much personal cost to herself.

The shock of seeing dear Bishop Mar Mari being stabbed during a service in Sydney tonight prompted me to look for video and photos from August last year when he prayed a blessing over Fiona and I. Bishop Mar Mari Immanuel exemplifies well what it is to be bold as a lion against evil and gentle as a lamb when it comes to shepherding God’s precious people. You will hear his gentle heart in this video as he prays for Fiona and I. Let’s keep Bishop Mar Mari in our prayers and be inspired to continue to declare the truth boldly, and in love, in this dark hour. 🔥 God help us all. 🙏

Yesterday - Day three in Rome - I had the pleasure of commissioning Bishop Anthony Ball as the Archbishop of Canterbury’s representative to the Holy See. Bishop Anthony was commissioned in a beautiful choral evensong at the Chiesa di Sant’Ignazio Loyola. The service was full of joy and the hope, and brought together Anglicans, Catholics, Orthodox and many others from across God’s Church. Thank you to His Eminence Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle preached powerfully during the service about our common faith and unity in Jesus Christ. Please pray for Bishop Anthony Ball as he takes up this important ministry and for the The Anglican Centre in Rome

The protocol officer who pointed Bishop David Oyedepo in the direction of this young man is a perfect example of what we call a destiny helper. What he did may seem small and insignificant, but it made a big difference. Bishop could have easily walked past without noticing the young man or his work. But thanks to that protocol officer for taking the time to point Bishop in his direction. Sometimes, being a destiny helper doesn't require doing something big. One simple act, one connection, or one introduction can change someone's life forever.

This picture of our Lady was drawn by a mystic in Italy. Her hand was guided by Our Lady. There is a special blessing given each day to the person who carries it and another blessing given each time one looks at it with love. Important Note: The Catholic Church makes a distinction between public revelation and private revelations. Public revelation, found in Sacred Scripture and Apostolic Tradition, is binding on all Catholics. Private revelations and devotional claims are not. Even when a private devotion is popular, Catholics are not required to believe claims attached to it. This is a devotional image that has circulated among Catholics for many years with claims that a mystic in Italy drew it under Our Lady’s inspiration.

I am bringing this video back as a reminder: We are not Catholics because of the Pope or any priest. We are Catholics because of JESUS CHRIST. Christ is the foundation of our faith. Not personalities. Not emotions. Not convenience. So no, A bad priest is not an excuse. A weak Bishop is not an excuse. A corrupt Pope is not an excuse. A “boring” homily is not an excuse. None of these are reasons to walk away from the Church Christ Himself established. If you are Catholic, be Catholic for the right reason, and that reason is, JESUS CHRIST.
