Built for remote communities. 🇨🇦 Horizon Aircraft’s hybrid-electric Cavorite X7 flies faster, farther, and cheaper, with no ground charging and true all-weather capability.

Not all eVTOLs are created equal. In this clip from a recent Stocktwits interview, Brandon Robinson breaks down a key advantage of the Cavorite X7’s hybrid design vs. fully electric machines, it comes down to energy and flexibility.

No charging. No waiting. 🇨🇦 Horizon Aircraft's hybrid-electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing aircraft, the Cavorite X7, does not require ground charging like all-electric eVTOLs. ⬇️ With batteries that recharge in flight, the X7 offers faster turnarounds, higher utilization, and true operations anywhere, even off-grid. ✈️⚡

2026 is an exciting year for Horizon Aircraft. By the end of the year, we expect to have the full-scale Cavorite X7 rolling out of the hangar and preparing for ground testing. At the Farnborough Airshow, we’ll be sharing the vision behind the Cavorite X7 and connecting with industry leaders who are as excited as we are!

Building the Cavorite X7 means working with partners who can meet the demands of aerospace manufacturing. In our latest video, we visit RAMPF Composite Solutions in Ontario, where the X7 fuselage is being manufactured.

The response to our recent Cavorite X7-Helicopter cost analysis has been very positive. Social media posts discussing operating economics of the Cavorite X7 with conventional helicopters, and highlighting the potential for up to 75% lower cost per available seat mile, are now at almost half a million views! Clearly, there’s strong interest in the real economics behind next-generation aircraft - so we made a video explaining the analysis further.

This is where years of engineering begin to take physical shape! An important milestone in the build of the full-scale Cavorite X7. Receiving the propeller from MT-Propeller marks another step forward as the aircraft continues to come together.

Most helicopters can’t fly in clouds, severe weather, or icing conditions. 🇨🇦 ❄️ Horizon Aircraft's vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, the Cavorite X7, is designed to fly when others are grounded.

Meet Horizon Aircraft’s Cavorite X7, the world’s first aircraft to use a fan-in-wing design for stable flight. It has 14 fans built into its wings that let it take off and land vertically like a helicopter. After takeoff, the fans are covered and it switches to fast forward flight using a hybrid-electric system.

A major advantage of the Cavorite X7 over fully electric aircraft is simple: it doesn’t need to stop and charge on the ground. Hear from Phil, Brian and Jason on how the aircraft “generates over 100 horsepower of electricity in flight,” allowing the batteries to recharge while flying, enabling multiple missions back-to-back with minimal downtime.

As we continue to progress toward the full-scale Cavorite X7, it’s a good moment to revisit how it works and why it matters. Vertical takeoff. Airplane speed. Runway optional. The Cavorite X7 lifts like a helicopter using electric fans, then transitions to forward flight powered by a turbine engine flying up to twice as fast as a helicopter and reaching up to 800 km. For time-critical missions like medevac, search and rescue, and urgent cargo, that combination of speed and flexibility is key. And when it’s time to land, it can touch down in spaces as small as a tennis court or operate from a runway like a conventional aircraft. Simple!

Riding with a total stranger in the BMW X7 xDrive50i from Ibadan to Interchange… he wound down the window, and it turned out to be an elderly man with his wife.. imo, the X7 xdrive50i is better than a Mercedes GLS.
