CCTV Captures Attack on Security Guards by Blinkit Workers in Kukatpally Hooliganism by Blinkit delivery workers and their associates was reported at the Rainbow Vistas RVRG gated community in Kukatpally on Sunday. Trouble began when a security guard stopped a delivery worker of Blinkit for entering the premises without... mandatory permission for both workers at the gate. Following the intervention, a group of delivery workers and their associates gathered at the spot and attacked the security personnel on duty. The assault, which was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the gated community, left two security guards injured. Similar incidents involving delivery workers had earlier been reported from cities such as Mumbai and Noida, and the latest incident signals the emergence of such violence in Hyderabad as well. A complaint has been lodged with the Kukatpally police, and CCTV footage has been handed over as evidence. What worries me is the emergence of mob behavior among delivery personnel. Security agencies can be trained and corrected, but loosely organized delivery groups can become a serious security concern. Law enforcement must put a strict vetting mechanism in place without delay.

They should ban Blinkit and put these guys in jail. How will the residents trust them when they go for delivery at home?

Every gated community already has its own grocery store. So why depend on Blinkit or similar delivery apps? The community grocery store itself can provide doorstep delivery. This can be planned and managed at the community level. Even food delivery can be handled efficiently by one or two dedicated delivery staff, who can collect items at the gate and deliver them directly to residents’ doors. The Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) or managing society can: •Organize in-house delivery services •Provide battery-powered scooters to delivery staff •Restrict entry of external delivery personnel Once outside delivery entry is minimized, the security workload reduces, and overall security staffing costs can be lowered. This model improves: •Safety •Cost efficiency •Employment within the community •Control over quality and access With proper planning, a gated community can be self-sufficient in grocery and basic food delivery, without relying on third-party apps.

This trend has to be cut here only if not we are not far away from attacks happening like in Mumbai, Noida... If they had an issue they could have boycotted the community itself.. going in groups n beating a guard who was just doing duty is pathetic..Hope they get belt treatment

There should be thorough training that should be given on how to behave with Customers & security personnel for all delivery riders,even the security guards are doing their job for movement it is everyone's responsibility to follow the guidelines for entering any gated community.

when they can't allow their vehicles to enter society then they should leave the parcels with the security itself. why should they walk kilometres on foot? Not encouraging hooliganism or violence. What they do when they dont have these delivery apps? they get themselves right?🤡

This is not at all accepted. In India there is no dignity of labour thing. You don’t follow rules, when someone asks you to follow rules you’ll get offended.

Often times, i have noticed, the security guards treat them like shit too. Dismissing their being, and asking them to get lost, or telling them rudely not to park there. Further investigation needs to tell who drew first blood..🤔

This will happen if company's founders, management doesn't bother about ground level things and r only interested in numbers related to ebidta, revenue, profit etc. Many delivery guys don't have manners, create problems on road/traffic too. @albinder @rishi_arora @InedibleBulk

I see the POSITIVE: gig workers (natives/s.indiansl reminded the security guards (arrogant migrants) to behave & do their duty with humility as this is human habitat unlike their origins. Thank the gig workers, now the guards learnt the lesson & are ought to Behave & Be Human!
