CD Projekt Red's "Witcher 3" Nintendo Switch port was BARELY profitable for them because they opted for the most expensive Cartridge Size, so that gamers had the WHOLE game on the cart. Despite not making much profit, they did it again with Cyberpunk on Switch 2. Pretty awesome.

*To be clear, i do believe they made PROFIT overall - they wouldn't sell it at a LOSS - but by using the largest size cart they severally cut into those profits. That's why we see devs and publishers using the new "game key cards'' to save money and make more profit.

CD Projekt is built on being pro-preservation. It's the same company that runs the DRM-free GOG store. No matter how broken any of their games launch, them opting for a full game on cart is very in line with their vibe.

Any company that damages their bottom line for bettering the consumers quality of life in game and out gets my wallet open for their next projects

Yeah this might be one of the rare physicals in my collection and I didn’t even like the game all that much 🤣
