Cell phones in schools are a bipartisan problem that needs bipartisan support. Let’s empower parents and school districts to make the right choices for their children and students.

The UNPLUGGED Act of 2025 (H.R. 2700) proves bipartisan action isn't just possible - it's already law. Section 3 mandates secure phone storage in classrooms, cutting through the distraction epidemic that's cratered test scores by 13-20% according to London School of Economics research. While Cotton's right about the problem, the real win's already secured: this bill forces schools to prioritize learning over TikTok scrolling without waiting for district-by-district handwringing. Taxpayers shouldn't fund $1.4B in annual classroom disruptions when the solution's implemented through existing infrastructure. Let's enforce what's passed rather than applaud empty "empowerment" theater while bureaucrats drag their feet.

I don’t think removing cellphones is as popular an idea as you think. It might not be a smart phone but I wouldn’t want to send my kids over the age of 10 to school without one.

This sounds good but as mom i want my child to have a way to call for help and record inappropriate behavior in the classroom

Sad to have to explain this to you, but until we stop school shootings you will not get your grift-stained hands on my kids’ cell phones.

This is my personal opinion: There really is no real argument for students to have the phones in any classroom. Should be locked up in the locker.

Sir, your priorities are in need of examination. You have serious nation saving work in front of you and you choose to post this? The United States Congress in inept.

Between Republicans supporting teachers, fucking students and or strangers coming into schools to kill kids, the last thing they need to be considering is taking phones away from kids in school.

Factcheck: Parents are not being given a voice. How about we instead empower our children with the power of American freedom & keep govt communism out of schools.
