🇺🇸🇮🇷 CENTCOM has requested Pentagon approval to deploy its first operational hypersonic missiles, potentially against Iran. Dark Eagle travels at speeds of Mach 5+, with mid-flight maneuvers to throw off air defenses. Oh, and it can hit a target 1,725 miles away in under 15 minutes. Nothing accelerates diplomacy like a missile that gets delivered faster than a pizza. Source: Business Basics

🇺🇸 U.S. Central Command has requested the deployment of Dark Eagle hypersonic missiles, for potential strikes on Iran. First, this is a big deal. The U.S. has never before used hypersonic (Mach 5 or greater) weapons in combat. The Dark Eagle is a precision offensive strike weapon that travels at over 3,800 mph, and can maneuver unpredictably mid-flight. Which makes it essentially impossible for existing missile defense systems to intercept. It has a range of over 1,650 mi, meaning it could reach Tehran from launch positions in the Gulf in minutes. The reason CENTCOM wants it now is that Iran has moved its ballistic missile launchers deeper into the country, beyond the reach of the current Precision Strike Missile (PrSM). Each hypersonic costs roughly $15 million, and there are no more than 8 available. Russia and China, it’s worth noting, have been deploying their own versions for years. Deploying it sends a message to Tehran, but also to Beijing and Moscow: America's hypersonic capability is finally here. Source: Combat Tech YT

BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇷🇺🇨🇳 U.S. hypersonic breakthrough shakes global powers. The United States Army is about to deploy the Dark Eagle hypersonic ground-launched missile, capable of striking targets over 3,500 km away in under 20 minutes. This move signals a direct challenge to China and Russia, who have long dominated the hypersonic weapons field. Experts say Dark Eagle ends their technological edge, giving the U.S. unmatched speed, range, and precision. For years, Beijing and Moscow flaunted their hypersonic capabilities, but now the U.S. is taking the lead, proving rapid-strike dominance in a way rivals can’t ignore. 🌐 Analysts warn: “With Dark Eagle, the U.S. is rewriting the hypersonics game, and China and Russia are on notice.”

🇺🇸🇮🇷🇰🇼 The U.S. only has 6 Dark Eagle hypersonic missiles in the region; they've never been tested at range or used in combat. Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar says you don't throw an untested weapon like that as a Hail Mary. You stage it close to the target, protect it in underground bunkers, and give it the highest probability of success. That is exactly why Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait is the most logical launch point and exactly why Iran is hitting it now. If the U.S. deploys its most advanced long-range strike weapon system for the first time and it fails, the strategic and reputational damage would be catastrophic.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 US IN PANIC: Dark Eagle Hypersonic Fiasco Headed for Iran The US is rushing its glitch-plagued “Dark Eagle” hypersonic missile toward Iran — even though the system isn’t battlefield-ready and has repeatedly failed to launch. 🔸 CENTCOM scrambling after burning through Precision Strike Missiles and forced to reposition launchers out of range. 🔸 Dark Eagle plagued by launcher failures and production defects; full combat effectiveness testing delayed until early 2027. 🔸 Unit cost ~$41 million per missile — for a weapon experts say isn’t worth it against non-existential Iran. 🔸 Critics call it pure budget theater: “Nothing says ‘fund me’ like first use of an unproven system”. 🔸 Pentagon lost all perspective while Trump doubles down on Gulf blockade. Is Washington really this desperate — or just manufacturing a crisis to keep the money flowing?

🇺🇸🇮🇷🇰🇼 U.S. bases in Kuwait were targeted by Iranian missiles overnight, but the IRGC and CENTCOM are telling different stories. Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar says Kuwait is the most likely staging point for the U.S. Dark Eagle hypersonic missile, which has the range to hit Tehran or Iranian nuclear facilities. Iran likely knows this and is hitting the launch infrastructure before it can be used against them. U.S. interceptor stocks are now in the single digits in some categories, with most of what remains allocated to Israel. Successful missile interceptions also occurred over Bahrain, where the U.S. Fifth Fleet is headquartered.

🚨🇷🇺 WEST IN PANIC: RUSSIA DEPLOYS MACH 27 MANEUVERING HYPERSONIC NATO CAN'T STOP Russia's Avangard just made the NATO's trillion-dollar missile shields look like expensive theater. The world's only operational hypersonic glide vehicle rides the Sarmat ICBM into the upper atmosphere, separates, then glides at Mach 20-27 while actively maneuvering to dodge interception. 🔸 Avangard reaches up to Mach 27 while dynamically changing both course and altitude, making reliable interception nearly impossible. 🔸 The system evolved from Soviet Project Albatross, designed in the 1980s specifically to defeat Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative. 🔸 Avangard was revived after the US abandoned the 1972 ABM Treaty, teased by Putin in 2004, and entered full service and production in 2018. 🔸 It carries a powerful 800 kiloton to 2 megaton nuclear warhead with a range exceeding 6,000 km. 🔸 Meanwhile, America’s Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) only completed its first trials in 2024. Has the hypersonic arms race already been decided in Russia’s favor?

#WATCH | ANI National Security Summit 2.0: DRDO Chairman Dr Samir V Kamat says, "For short-range ballistic missiles, the Pralay is now in the final stages of testing. With respect to hypersonic, we are working on two programs, the hypersonic glide missile and the hypersonic cruise missiles. The glide missile will come out first. We should be doing the first trials fairly soon. And that is at a more advanced stage than the cruise missile. The cruise missile program has not yet been sanctioned, although we are working on the various technologies which will get into the cruise missile..." "For short-range ballistic missiles, the Pralay is now in the final stages of testing and should be ready. Then we have some of our strategic missiles, which can be converted to tactical usage for the medium range and the long range. With respect to hypersonic, we are working on two programs, the hypersonic glide missile and the hypersonic cruise missiles. The hypersonic cruise missiles is one which has a scramjet engine and it is powered during its flight. The hypersonic glide missile is a missile which uses a booster to give it initial velocity, and then it just glides without any powering. The glide missile will come out first. We should be doing the first trials fairly soon. And that is at a more advanced stage than the cruise missile. The cruise missile program has not yet been sanctioned, although we are working on the various technologies which will get into the cruise missile. Recently, we have done a scramjet propulsion for more than 1,000 seconds. So that's been a major achievement, and once the program is sanctioned, we'll convert the scramjet propulsion into a working missile system. And I think that should take about five years after the sanction."

🚨🇨🇳 U.S. NAVY IN PANIC: CHINA ARMS ITS MAIN DESTROYER CLASS WITH YJ-20 HYPERSONIC MISSILES New PLA footage has shown a Type 052D destroyer launching the YJ-20 hypersonic anti-ship ballistic missile for the first time publicly. Previously demonstrated aboard the larger Type 055, the weapon has now reached the class that forms the backbone of China’s surface fleet. 🔸 The YJ-20 is a boost-glide weapon capable of speeds above Mach 5, with its range estimated at up to 1,500 km. Its manoeuvring bi-conic glide body can strike ships at a steep, near-vertical angle, making interception far more difficult. 🔸 The missile was cold-launched from one of the Type 052D’s 64 universal vertical-launch cells, ejecting above the ship before its motor ignited. 🔸 More than 35 Type 052Ds are already in service, with additional ships under construction. Unlike the smaller Type 055 fleet, these destroyers are produced in large numbers and routinely operate across the South China Sea and Western Pacific. 🔸 The YJ-20 does not need to replace the YJ-18. A mixed load allows Chinese destroyers to combine long-range hypersonic attacks with sea-skimming cruise missiles, forcing carrier defenses to confront different speeds, trajectories and approach angles. 🔸 This is what makes the integration more important than a single launch. Hypersonic anti-ship firepower can now spread beyond China’s largest destroyers to a far more numerous class, creating more launch platforms and attack directions. 🔸 The Pentagon’s leaked Overmatch brief found that American warships such as the Gerald R. Ford were often destroyed in Taiwan war games. Giving China’s primary destroyer class a hypersonic carrier-killer makes those scenarios even harder for the U.S. Navy. The threat is no longer one rare missile aboard a handful of large warships. It is China’s mass-produced destroyer fleet gaining the ability to attack U.S. carrier groups from extreme range. What threatens U.S. carriers more: the YJ-20’s speed or the number of ships that can launch it?
