I've told this to a few bespoke tailors. Your marketing budget can be zero. Grab an iPhone camera and just film yourself doing what you think is mundane—sewing a buttonhole, adjusting a pattern, basting a coat, or explaining some terminology. Explain what you're doing. You will be shocked at how many people find this sort of content interesting, even if it feels boring or obvious to you. Tom at Redmayne has been doing this sort of thing for 20 years and built a good business around it. IG redmayne1860

Just when I thought I couldn’t hate Monarch more. Guy announces a “Zero Edge” slot on Duel and a “Zero Edge” live blackjack game. You can’t just slap zero edge on something and call it revolutionary. It’s the same type of marketing buzzword as “provably fair,” which is already a running joke in this industry. Slapping ‘zero edge’ on a game doesn’t magically make it innovative. Without real transparency around in house server seeds that can be manipulated in the house’s favor, it’s hard for players to know what they’re actually getting. Nobody should touch them with a 10 foot pole. Probably fair is mostly a scam. There are some exceptions that actually implement true provably fair but most casinos slap the label on and have no idea what it means. I can’t believe this guy used to be one of my heroes. He’s blatantly launching garbage and he knows it. His team behind the scenes is trash and he admits it, and Duel has only gone downhill ever since Ossi got perma banned on Twitter. He was the only one carrying marketing and all things Duel on his back. Right now there’s no truly superior product in this space except Stake and honestly, that’s pretty disappointing.

Apparently people are outraged at this Uber Eats Super Bowl LVIII commercial. So much so that Uber has decided to edit the ad before the big game between the 49ers and Chiefs tomorrow night. People are mad, not over the man in the skimpy underwear (although I'm sure some people are), but rather over the fact that there is a man eating peanut butter who appears to be showing signs of a food allergy. What do you think? Did they go too far? Should people be outraged, or are people being too sensative?

Here are some interesting facts about the fire in Maui that should make you ask questions. The governor, emergency management admin, fire chief, lieutenant governor, and attorney general were not on the island when the fire broke out. So the 2 most critical emergency officials were AWOL. The emergency alert system also wasn't activated and there are 400 sirens all over the state. The only system they activated was the cellphone alerts, but those comms were down too for some people, with many residents reporting they had zero warnings, some reporting that officials and police told them to stay and they'd be safe just a few hours before engulfing the area. Lastly, they didn't have enough firefighters and equipment. Apparently there were only 60+ firefighters across the 3 islands, and the administrators said they didn't address the fires until they were already at the populated areas and unstoppable. The alarm bells of a conspiracy should be ringing in everyone's head right now.

The emergency alert system also wasn't activated and there are 400 sirens all over the state. The only system they activated was the cellphone alerts, but those comms were down too for some people, with many residents reporting they had zero warnings, some reporting that officials and police told them to stay and they'd be safe just a few hours before engulfing the area. Lastly, they didn't have enough firefighters and equipment. Apparently there were only 60+ firefighters across the 3 islands, and the administrators said they didn't address the fires until they were already at the populated areas and unstoppable. The alarm bells of a conspiracy should be ringing in everyone's head right now.
