I like how he chooses to stay in the jar afterward

this gives me anxiety, why not giving the poor thing something less stressful, like a pirate lego set to build (with instructions of course)

When we discover the cephalopod's home planet, will they put us in jars to see if we're as intelligent as they are?

I just love how it goes back in the jar to chill after the lid is off <3

This book is fascinating on the intelligence of the octopus. The author describes an area on the sea bed set up and organised by octopuses which he names Octopolis.

u can tell she realizes now that the danger of the jar is solved , there is a danger of outside the jar. Knowing jar is now safe retreats and analyzes where the danger may come from next.

With all the times scientists test them using jars they probably just evolved to become natural jar opening experts

I, for one, welcome our new cephalopod overlords…

Why do we eat these incredible creatures, or keep them captive. We humans are the WORST thing that has ever happened to planet earth. We have choices and we choose thoughtless cruelty, again and again.

Impressive, if that was the first time, even more impressive. The anti-claustrophobic mentality... Exceptional.
