Nebenzya, Russia’s envoy to the UN, claims Ukraine uses strike drones to “kill and harm Russian civilians” and accuses Kyiv of “gamifying” warfare. He says this undermines the fundamental principles of armed conflict. WHAT A NONSENSE Ukraine has consistently operated within international law while defending itself from a state that invades, occupies, deports children, executes prisoners, bombs civilians in their homes. Ukrainian children and entire families are being killed at night in their apartments, while sleeping in their own beds, by Russian missiles and drones. And Russia still has the nerve to lecture Ukraine about the “principles” of warfare. There is not enough space on this platform to list all the laws and norms Russia has violated.

Kherson, Ukraine - a city on the very front line of war. It is never quiet. Residents of Kherson clutch a drone detector in the car, the screen flickering and bleeping like a cardiac monitor to reassure them that they are still alive. Kherson has lived through the horror of occupation and the brief euphoria of liberation and then this endless terror ever since, from Russian army positions just across the river shooting all day and all night at people in their homes and targeting them with explosives from small drones as they go to work and to hospital and to buy food. Kherson like all of Ukraine deserves its freedom, its dignity and to live its peaceful life once again. 📹 felicityspector/Instagram
