No doubt about it. Also if you pay attention in both of those efforts, while he made up ground around the turn into the stretch, there's instant acceleration once Machado shows him the whip.

I just don’t see how he’s not flying down the stretch. The only question is how much he will have to make up once he comes out of the far turn.

It’s that explosive kick. He consistently has it. I’m definitely concerned now about the muddy kickback he’ll face, but that’s a looonnnnnnng stretch.

1:50:10 at 9F compared to Journalisms 1:49:56 ain’t that far off…if he gets a good trip + the extra furlong…is dirt faster than synthetic?

Most importantly, he got block in the start, he could have been in the final stretch winning

He was always going to be dead last the first half of the race. I think he ran about as well as we could hope.
