every time i rewatch a scene from the chibnall era i remember how much i like it

All of these comments are usually made by people who *haven't* watched any episode. Every comment saying that something didn't happen actually did happen, you just didn't watch it!

I'm glad that you guys love this scene! But like... 13 and Fugitive had a very similar discussion prior to this, and the resolution in that episode was the same. 13 realizes she's more than her past, who she is now is what matters.

Just because there is one decent scene, doesn’t mean the whole era was good. Chibnall wrote this scene and threw it out of the window in the next episodes as the doctor acted like nothing had changed. Ryan never gave a speech like that ever again and continued to be bland
