FG Flags Off Benin–Asaba Expressway: A Landmark in Private-Financed Infrastructure Development The Federal Government of Nigeria, in collaboration with Africa Plus Partners, has officially flagged off the 125km Benin–Asaba Expressway Project in Edo State—an ambitious, dual-carriage, solar-lit superhighway that is fully financed by the private sector under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Speaking at the event, the Honourable Minister of Finance & Coordinating Minister of the Economy Mr. Wale Edun described the project as a milestone in infrastructure financing. “What you see on the front page of the pamphlet will be delivered—because the cash is there,” he affirmed. “This is not reliant on direct federal funding. Africa Plus Consortium, backed by credible investors, has put forward the full capital commitment under the enabling policies of President Bola Tinubu.” This flagship initiative is part of the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, demonstrating how strategic partnerships can unlock long-term value for the economy. Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi described the project as a cashless model. Governor of Edo State Senator Monday Okpebholo, standing in for Mr. President, lauded the financing structure. “This is a legacy project. For private investors to risk their capital, it shows belief in the president’s vision and the future of our economy.” HM Wale Edun reiterated that this model will be replicated nationwide: “This is just one of many projects that will be delivered week after week, month after month, through sustainable financial frameworks that ensure transparency, efficiency, and speed.” The Benin–Asaba Expressway is more than a road. It is a statement—that with innovative financing and investor confidence, world-class infrastructure is not only possible but imminent.

G20 SUMMIT DAY 2: CRITICAL ROAD CLOSURES Today is the final day of the summit, meaning high-volume VIP movements are expected as delegates depart. The rolling closures are active, and motorists are advised that highways and main arterials will be completely closed intermittently to allow convoys to pass. This causes sudden, standstill traffic for 30–60 minutes at a time. The most critical times for these closures today are: * Morning: 07:00 – 10:00 * Evening: 15:00 – 20:00 We can confirm that specific closures will be in effect for today, Sunday: * Nasrec Precinct (Summit Venue): * Nasrec Road: Closed between Rand Show Road and Shaft 17 Road. * Rand Show Road: Northern portion closed between the N1 and Nasrec Road. * Golden Highway: Closed between Rand Show Road and Soweto Highway. * Booysens Reserve Road: Closed near Crownwood Road. Sandton and Rosebank: Expect disruptions on Grayston Drive, Rivonia Road, Maude Street, Oxford Road, and Jan Smuts Avenue as dignitaries move between their accommodations. Weather services have issued warnings for severe thunderstorms in the Gauteng region today. The combination of slippery roads, poor visibility, and heavy G20 congestion significantly increases the risk of accidents. We urge drivers to maintain a safe following distance and keep their headlights on at all times. As of this morning, no new massive highway blockages have been reported, but the network is extremely fragile. Any minor accident will cause gridlock due to the existing G20 pressure. Motorists are advised to avoid the highways (N1, M1, N12, R21, R24) if possible, and they can use alternatives such as: * Roodepoort: Use Beyers Naudé Drive, Christiaan De Wet, or Ontdekkers Roads. * Sandton/North: Use smaller side streets parallel to Rivonia/Oxford (though these will still be busy). * South: Use Chris Hani Road, Main Reef Road, or Soweto Highway, (where open) to bypass the Nasrec lockdown. To everyone asking about our Jet engine project⚠️: As I said in my return speech🙏🏻, some unfortunate & unpleasant things happened to me that I've just survived I have not been as lucky as others may have been either I am just moving at the pace available to me & my team I am currently restructuring & rebuilding the major brand ZEDORA Working on making our pioneer products mainstream again Streamlining our operations etc This is not a toy⚠️ Aerospace projects of this scale cost alot of money ⚠️ We built systems from scratch Developed our own designs We have burned through a few millions already just to get to this stage of development Once we have the ability to start its R&D again, we will resume building in public as is our M.O I know many if u well wishers want to crowd fund for its development, I appreciate that, but matters that concern 'public money' are not as easy as it appears, one needs to be very very careful Yes we've actually tried to secure corporate funding for the expansion of the project, but there hasn't been any headway yet, raising capital for such an ambitious project especially from this part of the world is....... The project is still alive, but just offline for now, until the variables to continue pop up The goal of this project, with our successful prototype was to create indigenous gas turbines/engines for various applications, one of which is the aerospace aspect✅ We will be back to it soon... Thanks #Zedora

This is something all Indians must understand leaving behind politics and ideologies: The massive boom in India's infrastructure in the last 10 years is undeniable. Be it highways, border roads, airports, trains, metros, or ports - there's a 100-300% increase compared to before. No joke. I have not seen this level of development and building for decades before. Projects are not just announced but are actually being completed and inaugurated. When you have this much infrastructure being built by thousands of contractors and companies, there will always be some issues come up. From bad quality here and there to delays in some. It happens in every country. Even in the most developed and advanced ones like the very large US or very small Singapore. They too have leaking metro stations, roads that cave in, bridges that break, and trains that breakdown. But only for India, there's a coordinated communist campaign being run online to blackpill Indians by lifting every issue around the large country, amplifying it as the worst that only happens in India, to destroy the credibility of India's development and government. If you suddenly start building 100,000 kms of highways, using thousands of contractors and hundreds of companies, yes there will be a few kms of bad patch somewhere or a bad contractor doing a shoddy job. Yet, that is being taken and amplified online to disillusion Indians about their own democracy, destroy their confidence, and derail India's development using their disillusionment. They are made to believe and say "Everything is bad, everything is corrupt." This is being done in a coordinated way targeting India's youth primarily. Because the adversaries know India's youth have no past experience to judge. And they are the ones who will take India to the future. They can be easily programmed showing only the glitzy images of Shangai & Shenzen to make them feel sad about their cities. They know by disillusioning them, and destroying their confidence, India's development can be arrested for a long time. If you as an older adult understand this and the significance of the current infrastructure boom for the future, it is your responsibility to inform at least a few of the people you know offline about what's going on. It's OK you get challenged, ridiculed, or even abused. Because we know the mental programming and blackpilling is that much these days. Yet, it is important to try make them understand for India's sake.

"Elon Musk is not an engineer." John Carmack: Elon is definitely an engineer. He is deeply involved with technical decisions at SpaceX and Tesla. He doesn’t write code or do CAD today, but he is perfectly capable of doing so. Robert Zubrin: When I met Elon it was apparent to me that although he had a scientific mind and he understood scientific principles, he did not know anything about rockets. Nothing. That was in 2001, by 2007 he knew everything about rockets – he really knew everything, in detail. You have to put some serious study in to know as much about rockets as he knows now. This doesn't come just from hanging out with people. Eric Berger: Elon is the chief engineer in name and reality. Josh Boehm: Elon is both the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of SpaceX, so of course he does more than just some very technical work. He is integrally involved in the actual design and engineering of the rocket, and at least touches every other aspect of the business. Elon is an engineer at heart, and that’s where and how he works best. Garrett Reisman: He’s obviously skilled at all different functions, but certainly what really drives him and where his passion really is, is his role as Chief Engineer. That’s the part of the job that really plays to his strengths. Tom Mueller: Elon and the Propulsion department are leading development of the SpaceX engines, particularly Raptor. Kevin Watson: Elon is brilliant. He’s involved in just about everything. He understands everything. If he asks you a question, you learn very quickly not to go give him a gut reaction. He wants answers that get down to the fundamental laws of physics. One thing he understands really well is the physics of the rockets. He understands that like nobody else. The stuff I have seen him do in his head is crazy. He can get in discussions about flying a satellite and whether we can make the right orbit and deliver Dragon at the same time and solve all these equations in real time. It’s amazing to watch the amount of knowledge he has accumulated over the years.

Highway Harassment: Two Youths Create Chaos Near Shobha Town Park in Bengaluru Some aspects of human behavior, unfortunately, seem difficult to change especially when it comes to a lack of civic sense and respect for others in public spaces. A recent incident on the highway near Shobha Town Park in Attibele highlights this concern. A car bearing registration number KA-03NY-3552 was reportedly seen causing disturbance on the road. According to witnesses, two young men inside the vehicle were behaving irresponsibly, making inappropriate hand gestures, shouting at other motorists, and creating unnecessary chaos. Their actions not only caused discomfort to fellow drivers but also raised serious concerns about harassment and road safety. Such reckless and disrespectful behavior on public roads is unacceptable. Highways are meant to be safe spaces for everyone, and actions like these can easily escalate into dangerous situations, potentially leading to accidents or conflicts. It reflects poorly on the individuals involved and shows a disregard for basic social responsibility and discipline. Authorities should take note of such incidents and ensure strict action is taken against those who misuse public spaces in this manner. At the same time, it is important for individuals especially young people to understand the importance of responsible behavior, mutual respect, and adherence to the law while using public roads. Karnataka State Police S. Brand Bengaluru’ or Off-Road Adventure? Residents Slam Authorities Over Broken Roads At Hosa Road, near Rayasandra Circle, right in front of Mahaveer Ranches, the condition of the road has been appalling for over a month now. The entire stretch is completely broken, riddled with deep potholes, muddy patches, and craters big enough to swallow a scooter. For residents, office-goers, school buses and even ambulances, this has turned into a daily obstacle course rather than a public road. We keep hearing tall claims about “Brand Bengaluru” and the city’s transformation under the current leadership, yet basic infrastructure like roads continues to remain neglected for weeks at a time. Despite repeated complaints from citizens, no visible action has been taken to repair this stretch or even to provide a temporary fix to prevent further deterioration. It’s understandable that infrastructure projects take time, but leaving a key connecting road in this state for more than a months shows a serious gap between promises and ground reality. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and the civic authorities often talk about turning Bengaluru into a world-class city perhaps they could start by ensuring at least a drivable road for its taxpayers. “Brand Bengaluru,” really? If this is what branding looks like, maybe we should start advertising it as an off-road adventure park or a free test track for SUVs. DGP KARNATAKA S. Considering that Ukrainian War peace plans are in vogue, here's a peace plan the Russians would actually agree to:⬇️ - Ukrainian evacuation of the Four Oblasts to their prewar administrative boundaries. - The Four Oblasts within their prewar administrative boundaries and Crimea recognized as sovereign Russian territory by the US, EU, and UN; - Neutrality and nonalignment of Ukraine; - Ban on the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine; - Russian recognized as the second official language of Ukraine; - Ukrainian Orthodox Church in communion with the Moscow Patriarchate recognized as the state church of Ukraine; - Ban on veneration of the OUN, UPA, Galician SS, Stepan Bandera in person, and proscription of their successors in ideology to specifically include Azov; - AFU capped at 100,000 personnel including reserves, paramilitaries and auxiliaries; - Ukraine to possess or operate no weapons of any kind with a range of greater than 100 kilometers; - Termination of all Ukrainian drone programs and destruction of all extant Ukrainian combat drones under UN supervision. These represent the minimum acceptable outcomes of the "four pillars" of Russian war policy: demilitarization, denazification, neutrality, and territorial cession of all regions claimed by Russia. This is what any final peace deal in this war is going to include as a minimum, so we might as well stop coping about how letting people speak Russian in public in Kharkov is an abomination against the sovereignty of Ukraine and start telling the Ukrainians the alternative is unconditional surrender. "But AW," you say, "This would reward the Russians!" Yeah, it would. I don't care. Beyond that the Russian position is the morally correct one, as a matter of pure national interest the exact line of the western border of the Russian Federation is of no legitimate concern to the United States so long as it's somewhere generally east of the Vistula. If the Europeans want to get the Russians to agree to less than the above they're welcome to try without our assistance, I guess - they'll be singing a different tune soon enough.

“IYALOJA GENERAL” IS ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL Ever since the purported “installation” of a new ”Iyaloja” in Edo State by Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, who styles herself the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, I have been inundated with questions asking me to comment. Because of my ongoing investigation into the Edo State vs EuroAfrica CCI $250 Million deal, I initially held back. But after reviewing the Nigerian Constitution and relevant statutory frameworks, it is clear that the very concept and office of an Iyaloja-General is not only alien to Edo culture, but also illegal unconstitutional, and without statutory authority. Consequently, it has no legal power to confer titles in Edo State. Let us break this down carefully: 1. Is “Iyaloja-General” a constituted office? No. There is no federal constitutional or statutory office called “Iyaloja-General.” The 1999 Constitution (as amended) lists federal and state offices, commissions, and authorities. The title “Iyaloja-General” does not appear anywhere. It is a traditional or civil-society designation, not a public office created by law. 2. Do states have market women’s associations? Yes, but these are typically private associations, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020. They enjoy legal personality but have no governmental authority. Some states, such as Lagos, have created state-level market councils by law, but this is not universal and is strictly state-specific. 3. In Benin, what regulates the Iyeki role? The Oba of Benin has made it clear: market leadership in Benin is guided by the Iyeki system, a traditional office. Traders in each market choose their Iyeki, and the Oba’s palace confirms the selection. Iyeki duties are cultural and administrative, rooted in Benin tradition. There is no Edo State statute that overrides this customary process. 4. What authority does an “Iyaloja-General” have in Edo? None. Under the Nigerian Constitution, there is no power for an “Iyaloja-General” to install market leaders in Edo. At best, such an appointment would carry weight only inside her private association, not within Edo’s traditional or legal framework. For context, Lagos State is considering a Market Authority Bill that proposes an advisory council where an Iyaloja-General may be mentioned. But that is Lagos State law, not federal law, and it does not extend to Edo. 5. How much is the Edo State Government backing this? Despite the Oba’s firm rejection of the Iyaloja concept in Benin, the so-called installation was hosted inside the Edo State Government House. Reports confirm that top officials attended: the governor’s sister (who's the "first lady" of Edo State, representing her brother), the Commissioner for Women Affairs, the Commissioner for Health (Dr Cyril Oshiomhole), and several others in Governor Okpebholo’s administration. During the event, promises of “2.5 million votes” for President Tinubu in the 2027 elections were openly made. That raises urgent questions: • Was this really a customary installation, or a political rally disguised as tradition? • Why has the Edo State Governor himself remained silent since? • Why did the state government lend institutional weight to an office that is neither constitutional, nor statutory, nor indigenous to Edo culture? 6. On the ethnic spin Some have tried to frame this as an ethnic quarrel. That is misleading. The Oba of Benin never reduced the matter to who was installed, but to what was being installed. His objection was categorical: the very concept of an Iyaloja-General is alien to Benin tradition. Therefore, even if it had been an Edo woman from Ogbe who was “installed,” it would still be wrong. This is a matter of legality and culture, not ethnicity. My conclusion From a legal perspective, the title “Iyaloja-General of Nigeria” is nonexistent in the Constitution. From a cultural perspective, it is alien to Benin tradition.

This carrier is tied to at least four other businesses. This was their fifth truck crash. They average 2.67 violations every time they are inspected and get put OOS at least 50% of the time. Their most recent violations include maintenance issues and drivers operating without a valid CDL or medical card. Vehicles crash into buildings more than 100 times a day in America. That means this is not some freak once in a lifetime event. It happens constantly. In this Colorado crash, police say the semi came off Santa Fe Drive, went off the road, hit a parked car, and shoved it into a QuikTrip building. The wall partially collapsed. The person inside the parked car had to be rescued. There were employees and customers inside the building. The driver reportedly claimed brake failure, but investigators said they found no mechanical issue with the truck and cited him for careless driving causing bodily injury. This is who we, as in our families, are sharing the road with and this one is not even as bad as some others. By the time a truck is plowing into a gas station, the real story usually started long before the day of the crash. It started with what kind of carrier was allowed to keep operating like this. It started with what kind of truck was allowed on the road. It started with what kind of driver was put behind the wheel. It started with what kind of violations were tolerated. It started with what kind of warning signs kept getting ignored. We have made trucking way too comfortable with excuses. Brake failure. Medical episode. Sun in the eyes. Could not stop in time. Sometimes those things are real. A lot of times they are just the first explanation people reach for after the damage is already done. The bigger issue is exposure. When the striking vehicle is a commercial truck, the consequences go up fast. Also worth remembering, in large truck crashes, the people who usually pay the price are not the truck occupants. It is the people in the other vehicles, the people in the buildings, the people at the fuel island, the people just trying to exist around this stuff. That is why carrier fitness matters. That is why maintenance history matters. That is why driver qualification matters. That is why linked entities and repeat patterns matter. Everybody loves to talk about the driver after the crash. Not enough people want to talk about the carrier before the crash. Who hired him. Who qualified him. Who maintained the equipment. Who let the violations stack up. Who kept the operation moving despite the warning signs. This is not just about one Littleton crash. This is about the level of risk we have normalized on American highways and in American communities. The worst part is this one still does not represent the bottom of the barrel.

Dear Baloch Nation and the World, I, along with thousands of others, am still in Gwadar, with the internet shut down, roads blocked, and the city isolated with a complete media censorship imposed. Controlled media is continuously used to portray us as violent and unwilling to negotiate. From day one, we have been peaceful despite the state's brutal crackdown. Our national gathering on July 28 was turned into a sit-in due to the state's actions. State actions included blocking roads and highways, shutting down the internet, arresting peaceful protesters, and firing direct gunshots at them. Our clear, legitimate demands to create an environment of talks are: A. Registering FIRs against forces that used violence in Mastung, Gwadar, Nushki, Turbat, Talar and other parts of Balochistan by killing and injuring peaceful protesters. B. Lifting the blockade/curfew in Gwadar and other parts of Balochistan. State shall guarantee no further use of force or violence by the state security forces will occur. C. Stopping the harassment and arrest of BYC workers, supporters, and residents of Gwadar. Govt should admit it used force to crush a peaceful movement. D. Releasing all those arrested before, during, and after our national gathering. Bogus FIRS registered must be quashed. E. Compensate the public for financial damages caused by state military and intelligence agencies during the Baloch National Gathering by breaking into homes, vandalising property, burning vehicles and confiscating personal belongings. Instead of meeting our demands, the state is using more force, escalating the situation to find reasons to arrest me, my colleagues, and BYC leadership. The rest of the BYC leadership and I are at great risk and our lives are in serious danger. Now, all government machinery is being used to legitimize a crackdown on us, putting us at greater risk. The situation resembles the events during Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti's time, where negotiation was claimed, but force was used. This is being repeated now. We call on rights groups, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Amnesty International South Asia, Regional Office, Front Line Defenders, Human Rights Watch, Mary Lawlor, United Nations Pakistan - اقوام متحدہ پاکستان, EUPakistan, and Riina Kionka to intervene and stop this political misadventure by the state of Pakistan. Sincerely, Mahrang Baloch

May this young man's Soul Rest in Peace. The carnage continues due to unprecedented levels of greed, dereliction of duty, and lack of accountability. The funds are actually there and have been provided over the past decade. The Ministry of Finance Ministry of Finance has released about UGX 100 Billion since 2019 for a Department of Government whose main responsibility and objective should be prevention of road crashes. These funds have been spent on activities with very minimal impact on road safety. This information has been shared with IGG, Office of the Auditor General Uganda, Criminal Investigations Directorate-UPF. How do you explained the death of a young man in a fatal road crash that caused the incineration of the vehicle which he was driving? He must have been driving in one of the best motor vehicles in this country given the wealth of his family. He was driving a motor vehicle which probably had good safety features on a smooth road without pot holes. It is easy to draw conclusions like he was speeding, he was fatigued, he lost control of his motor vehicle, he made errors, e.t.c. Whereas all that may be true, did he deserve to die in such a gruesome way for those errors in judgement? The answer is a BIG NO. The truth is government failed him in so many ways. At the center of modern day road safety management is recognition that errors made by road users (drivers, motorcyclists, cyclist and pedestrians) MUST NOT lead to their demise. Here is a situation he found himself in: Concrete Barriers on a road that encourages high speed. Who has the onus to remove this hazard? Government. I could have perished in the same circumstances a few years back before the completion of the KEE on the way to the Airport. It was a rainy early morning at about 5:00am and I drove through barriers which were made of plastic. So why were these not made of plastic? Was there a provision for lighting on that section? If not, it should have been there. This is what we mean when we say roads should be forgiving. Apart from their design, road sides are the major reference here. The road should have forgiven him for this error if it had plastic reflective barriers. These kind of barriers would have caught his attention and he would have stopped his car instead of killing him. Were the traffic lights functional? Why was there no hazard signage or warning of any sort since there were barriers in middle of the road? This section of the road is built as an expressway and as such encourages speeding especially at any time beyond midnight. There are no traffic calming measures in place yet it is freely used by pedestrians and Boda-Bodaz like any other city road. Roads are supposed to be designed and constructed bearing in mind the activities that take place around them (Land Use). Interventions to control speed must be implemented if there is a high volume of different road users. They would have got his attention and he would not have died. A glaring example of contractors that do not care about road safety is on the section of Kampala-Masaka in the swampy section of Lwera. The Concrete Barriers are there and in places where they are not, there is nothing preventing a motor vehicle falling off into the swamp. Not even a rope. UNTIL THE DAY WHEN THE LEADERSHIP OF THIS COUNTRY ACCEPTS THAT ROAD CRASHES ARE PREVENTABLE AND PARLIAMENT STARTS DEMANDING ACCOUNTABILTY ON ROAD SAFETY, THIS CARNAGE WILL CONTINUE. ACCEPTING THERE IS A PROBLEM IS THE FIRST STEP TO SOLVING IT OR MANAGING IT. TOMORROW IT MIGHT BE ME OR YOU. As of this morning, every brand-new Car sold in Europe is mandated by law to watch its “driver”, and the reason to worry is the opposite of what everyone is screaming about. The camera is not filming your face. The law explicitly bans that. It rather tracks your eyes. The danger is not what it does today. It is what it is now physically positioned to do tomorrow. This became binding across all 27 countries today, the 7th of July 2026, and no member state can opt out, because road safety is an EU competence and EU law overrides national law. Every new car and van, roughly 18 million of them a year, must now carry an infrared camera, usually on the steering column, that follows the driver's gaze. Look away too long, six seconds under 50 kilometers an hour, three and a half above it, and the car warns you with a sound, a light, or a buzz in the seat. The stated reason is real. Distraction causes up to 30 percent of crashes, and the Commission projects the wider safety package will save 25,000 lives by 2038. The outrage dissolves on contact with the actual text. The law actually fully forbids facial recognition and any biometric identification of anyone in the car, and the footage is legally barred from leaving the vehicle. No recording, no transmission, no police feed. As written today, this is a safety beeper, not a spy. But look at what already sits beside it. Think about it.. come on!! Europe's cars already run always-on systems that do transmit, the automatic crash caller that dials emergency services, the black-box event recorder, and over-the-air software that rewrites the car remotely overnight. The sensor was just made universal. The wall keeping it private is a single legal paragraph, and the same law already schedules its own review for 2027 to read cognitive state and body movement, while suppliers openly sell using the identical mandated camera to watch the passengers too. So this is the quiet architecture of every threshold. The permanent thing is physical, a camera now bolted into 18 million dashboards a year. The thing protecting you is a mere sentence, and sentences are the easiest part of any system to revise. Europe hardwired the eye. It left what the eye may see as the one part that can still be changed later. Hmm 🤨

🚨🔥🇷🇸 SERBIA ON EDGE: NOVI PAZAR BLOCKED 🕌⚠️ PROTEST🔥🚨 Protests erupt in Sandžak as university dispute exposes deep cracks inside the state Novi Pazar was effectively brought to a standstill as students and citizens blocked Stefana Nemanje Street, escalating a conflict surrounding the State University of Novi Pazar into one of the most sensitive internal crises Serbia has faced in recent years. What started as a dispute over university governance and autonomy has now spilled decisively into the streets — and with it, long-suppressed questions of identity, trust, and cohesion inside the Serbian state. ⸻ The immediate cause of the protests lies in disagreements over management, appointments, and oversight at the state-funded university. Students and parts of the academic community argue that increased central control from Belgrade threatens institutional autonomy and weakens local influence over a key public institution. Yet the scale and speed of the mobilization make clear that this is not merely an academic issue. The university has become a symbol — and in Sandžak, symbols rarely remain confined to classrooms. ⸻ To understand why this confrontation resonates so strongly, one must understand the historical weight of Novi Pazar and the Sandžak region. Founded in the 15th century as a major Ottoman administrative and trade center, Novi Pazar developed for centuries outside the political and cultural core of the Serbian medieval and later national state. Sandžak itself takes its name from the Ottoman administrative system, reflecting its long history as a frontier zone between empires, religions, and identities. Unlike most of Serbia, Sandžak retained a strong Muslim — largely Bosniak — population, whose historical memory and social structures were shaped within a different civilizational framework. After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and later Yugoslavia, the region became part of Serbia, but the sense of being fully integrated never entirely followed. For many locals, Novi Pazar represents more than geography. It represents continuity, recognition, and the ability to exist within Serbia without being absorbed into a narrative that does not fully reflect them. ⸻ This is why the university matters so deeply. It is one of the few major state institutions in Sandžak where local academics, students, and elites feel genuinely represented. Control over it is not perceived merely as bureaucratic authority, but as influence over the future — who teaches, who decides, and which perspectives are treated as normal rather than peripheral. Crucially, protesters are not claiming that Serbia is pursuing open anti-Muslim policies, nor that the university will become a site of ideological indoctrination. The fear is subtler, but no less powerful: that tighter centralization will gradually normalize a dominant national framework in which Sandžak’s identity becomes secondary, diluted, or reduced to regional color. ⸻ The moment protests moved from the campus to street blockades marked a turning point. Blocking major roads in Novi Pazar is not random disruption; it is a signal that institutional trust has eroded to the point where pressure politics replaces dialogue. When identity, history, and dignity become intertwined with administrative decisions, every move from the center is read symbolically. Silence becomes provocation. Reform becomes suspicion. ⸻ Serbia is not collapsing. There are no calls for secession, no parallel authorities, no territorial challenge. But what is unfolding in Novi Pazar reveals something more uncomfortable: fragile internal cohesion in a state that presents itself as unified and stable. States rarely weaken through sudden rupture. More often, they erode slowly — when regions feel unheard, when institutions lose legitimacy, and when identity becomes the language of protest. Novi Pazar is not an exception. It is a warning. Attempt to Kill? XL6 Driver Drags Man on Bonnet in Broad Daylight In Bengaluru A shocking case of road rage was caught on camera on 11th February 2026 at around 12:45 PM on Old Airport Road in Bengaluru. In the disturbing visuals, a Maruti Suzuki XL6 bearing registration number KA03NN4501 can be seen speeding recklessly while a man is lying on the bonnet of the moving vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver was driving at a very high speed, endangering not only the man on the bonnet but also other commuters on the busy stretch. The man on the bonnet was seen shouting and pleading with the driver to stop the car, but the driver allegedly continued to accelerate without concern for human life. The act has raised serious concerns about public safety and reckless behavior on city roads. Such behavior is not just irresponsible it is criminal. Dragging a person on the bonnet of a speeding car shows a complete disregard for human life and traffic laws. Roads are meant for safe travel, not for settling personal disputes in a life-threatening manner. Incidents like these could have easily resulted in a fatality.Upon further verification, it has come to light that the driver is reportedly a previous offender in cases related to rash driving. Additionally, checks revealed that the vehicle’s insurance policy had expired, which is another violation of the Motor Vehicles Act. Operating a vehicle without valid insurance and engaging in repeated reckless driving reflects blatant negligence and a lack of accountability. According to the DCP EAST, a case has been registered against the driver, and further investigation is underway. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken as per the law. This incident once again highlights the growing menace of road rage and reckless driving in Bengaluru. Strict enforcement, heavy penalties, and cancellation of licenses for repeat offenders are necessary to ensure that such dangerous individuals are kept off the roads before innocent lives are lost. Karnataka State Police S.
