Child abuse survivors have reacted with rage after the former BBC presenter Huw Edwards was spared prison despite accessing indecent images of children as young as 7. They say his 6 months suspended sentence is 'ludicrous' and will encourage child abusers to offend.

The BBC is full of wrong uns and the BBC should have been shut down immediately after the Jimmy Savile scandal. Defund the BBC and scrap the BBC licence fee. Huw Edwards epitomises everything wrong with the BBC.

Huw Edwards sentence was based on who he is , not what he is. Shame on the judge. Joe blogs off the street would have got 3-5yrs.

His sentence is a joke. Those children will bear the scars for a lifetime. I'm 58 and still haunted by something that happened to me when I was 4. He should have gotten proper jail time in years, not months.

This doesn't give abuse victims any confidence in speaking out if this is the sentences given out

Hew Edwards, the BBC, and the British justice system need firing into the sun.

If that was a member of the public they be in prison straight away it's always celebs and stars who get away with it our justice system is so backwards and corrupt
