Chimchar protects Turtwig from a Fire Blast attack!

Chimchar was a great Pokémon to protect Turtwig from danger! Also it was very nice that Ash command Chimchar to use an attack to save himself from almost being defeated. Finally, Paul was a terrible jerk who gave up on Chimchar in a battle after being hurt, I hate Paul so much!

I'll say this: Chimchar's destiny was to be Ash's Pokemon. They both show compassion, something Paul wanted nothing to do with, so that resulted in a toxic rivalry. BUT the REAL rivalry in the DP series was always Chimchar and Elekid and I'll die on that hill

I'm honestly inclined to just assume everyone who has Paul as favorite character in the anime series legit is just as bad as him irl, if not worse. He doesn't even feel as strong as other rivals, nor can you feel any hope for a change, unlike with Gary. Just... useless

Absolutely nobody has ever matched how cool it was for Ash to command Chimchar before it was his pokemon. And when he says "that's right!" When everyone including Chimchar was stunned was so cool

he took chimchar saving that turtwig as a betrayal.

Even though I have my doubts towards Ash props to him for helping Chimchar with that battle like this was epic 💯
