China just launched Origin Wukong 180, its 4th-generation independently developed superconducting quantum computer. 180 qubits, with the quantum chip, measurement/control system, environmental support system, and operating system all developed inside China. Its 72-qubit predecessor has already served users from 160+ countries and regions. This is how China builds: not just breakthroughs in labs, but platforms, systems, and global access. “I think the world must realize that China will not converge with Western norms, and it will find its own path to modernity,” Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said in a recent interview with the Financial Times, noting that China is a technological leader in many areas, in advanced manufacturing, in renewable energy, and the world has to contend with and accept the reality that China is not just a rising power, it is a risen power. China recently decided to forgo its special and differential treatment provisions in the WTO. In just this past year or so, it has doubled down on its support for global institutions. These are examples of how we have to embrace the reality that China will be a key player, and potentially a key leader, in this new global system, said Wong.

Look at the crowd of people who queued for the Huawei Mate60 Pro+ and Mate X5 in China. I feel so happy seeing Huawei rising like this again, even though it is "just" in its own country. Once Huawei can give us awesome phones again that are great in all aspects, I think more people (not just in China) will start to use Huawei phones again. The future is getting brighter again for this company and I'm excited to see what they'll do next year.
