Each section of Avalon has a varying difficulty, meaning as the player gets stronger on their journey from level 1 to 60 in end game, they will constantly be gaining new abilities and skills to help them deal with more and more difficult areas. Treyarch really made it seem like this new End Game is meant to focus on the players power journey throughout it. If your whole squad dies, the character you are playing loses ALL progress, effectively being reset to level 0.
