After one particular argument, Singleton refused to come out of his trailer. Christian Bale who normally weighed around 80kg, had to reduce his weight to 54kg for his role in "The Machinist" (2004). He had to increase his weight to play Batman in "Batman Begins" (2005). To increase his weight, He was lifting really heavy weights and just stuffing so much into his mouth. His body was under so much pressure that he could feel it.
