Christmas is not pagan! pt.3

Puritans hated Christmas traditions & celebrations, and they refered to all of it as pagan. Not that it was actually pagan, but “pagan” was the Puritan go-to word for insulting things associated with their faith that they felt weren’t Biblical. If modern day apologists could go back in time, they’d show the Puritans there is no historical evidence of pagans officially initiating these rites before Abrahamic cultures. Those apologists would be promptly punished for heresy, of course. They’d technically be correct. But you know, the Puritans would care less about the truth and more about dealing with those who dared to confront them.

The thing I don’t get about all these pagan conspiracies is… so what? Even if they’re true, all it means is that Christians took over old holidays and turned them into Christian ones. Sounds like the Kingdom of God expanding until all enemies become a footstool for his feet 🤷‍♂️
