I was hoping for the “it has been 0 days since someone said Christmas is pagan” sign

All in Christ Jesus for all ages decree nonstop with all their blood, spirits, souls ELISE OYINKROMEINEIFA n all the babies in her are Christians, followers of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, she does not practice Voodoo ever in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth u900gtefsfbaiCnYH

I know that they’re always lying about this sort of thing, but it doesn’t matter to me personally either way. If Christians took over a day that used to be a pagan holiday and turned it into celebration of Jesus instead, who cares? “His enemies will be made into a footstool.”

I’m so sick of hearing about Mithras

@InspiringPhilos was on @DanPaterson7's channel as a short with @timothybarnett/@redpenlogic, @JusBrierley,@glenscrivener/@SpeakLifeUK,@WesleyLHuff,@BraxHunter, @gavinortlund,@AlyciaWood88, @NateAsks/@TheWiseDisciple and @yosoyjorgegil:

It amazes me that the anti-Christmas crowd can just say things not give any resources or ancient documents where they got any of these things from and people will just believe them and then when you actually say actual ancient sources, you're the one lying truly amazing

The calculation of March 25 as the day Jesus was crucified SUPPORTS the pagan origins of Christmas. You deceive your viewers when you leave out the small little fact that March 25 was the Spring Equinox on Julian Calendar. You know it but they don’t. This just-so-happens to align with the Greco-Roman (pagan) belief in cosmic symmetry when it comes to dying on the day you were born. To them this was a sign of divine fulfillment of cosmic fate and destiny. Such as was claimed to be the case for Socrates, Emperor Tiberius, etc. This furthers the claim that Roman society blended aspects of it’s pre-christian (Pagan) culture with its new religion of Christianity.

There was no pagan festival in Rome on 3/25 or 12/25. You assume a lot from little information. The Romans calculated celestial events do not show any religious significance. Ronald Hutton says, “The official calendar of Julius Caesar marked them at the 25th. The uncertainty was perfectly natural, for at midwinter and midsummer the solar orb does appear to rise and set in the same places for a few days; the very term, solstice, is taken from the Latin for ‘the sun stands still.’ The traditional pagan Roman calendar had left this period as a quiet and mysterious one, and flanked it instead with a festival of preparation and one of completion: the former was the feast of Saturn, the Saturnalia, in the days after 17 December, the latter the New Year feast, the Kalendae, from 1 to 3 January" (The Stations of the Sun, 2).

My reaction when someone says a rock can be a virgin

That's kind of crazy that this was aired on QI. For those who don't know, QI is a popular television gameshow on BBC2 payed for by the British tax payer.

Stephen what's his name is not really an atheist. He often expresses anger with God. Why would he be angry at someone he doesn't think exists? I think people like him are very very afraid that maybe they are wrong.
