@ChuckMindenhall If his “interesting soul” can dial in better than my Wi‑Fi, I’m sold on the title run.

VIDEO | Former Australia World Cup-winning captain and Punjab Kings head coach Ricky Ponting, if he sees PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer, is in the reckoning for the Indian T20 team as a serious contender to become India's next T20 captain and potentially replace Suryakumar Yadav in the future. "I think there are several contenders, but he's (Shreyas Iyer) one of the main contenders as far as I’m concerned. I think we saw at the start of the tournament just how good a T20 player he is and where he’s at, both on and off the field right now." "I think he’s a much more mature player than he’s probably ever been in his whole career. I think he’s completely on top of his game now. He’s probably a good example of what I was talking about earlier; it’s really hard to maintain a high level of consistency through 14 games of cricket. There are going to be times when you have your ups and downs as an individual and as a team." "I’m pretty sure he’ll bounce back in this last game that we’ve got. If he stands up and makes a big score, then we’re a good chance of winning the game." "I’ve been pretty vocal over the last couple of years that whenever India selects a team, and Surya’s not in it, I’m always very surprised. On the back of this IPL, I’m sure he’s one name the selectors will talk about, not just to get back into the side, but also with the captaincy next to his name." "The thing about Indian cricket is that you don’t just walk back into teams. You’ve got to put a lot of runs on the board and do it in a certain way. His season so far has been very impressive, and his captaincy has been excellent. I just think he’s in that little sweet spot in his life and career where, if captaincy came his way, then I think he’d make the most of it.” (Full video available on PTI Videos -

Lost in some of the conversation about Arvell Reese is that he’s a VERY good linebacker. As he develops his pass rush plan, I think he instantly helps a Giants defense that couldn’t stop the run.

Has Joshua Van already cemented himself as one of the two greatest flyweights in UFC history at just 24 years old? “You just know you’re watching something special... When you look at the stats, you go, ‘Is he already a top-five flyweight of all time in the UFC at 24 years old?’ He’s not top five. He’s top three, if he’s not already the second best. If you look at the significant strikes, the winning streak, all the things that he’s doing at 24 years old, it’s phenomenal. We should be giving him more recognition and seeing him almost in the light that we did Jon Jones back in the day at 24 years old, when he was taking out Rampage Jackson, Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans. His best work was right then, it felt like to me. So I feel like that’s where Van is.” - Chuck Mindenhall Episode 4 of The Uncrowned Beat is available now on Fire TV 📺.

Jeffries: He’s trying to make the Kennedy Center about himself. He has to make the America 250 celebration about himself. He’s got to make the World Cup about himself. He’s got to make the East Wing of the White House about himself. And now he wants to make this historic Knicks championship run about himself as well. Get lost. Doesn’t this guy have better things to do? Yes, he does. How about trying to turn around the economy that you are destroying in real time?

Crockett: For Trump to say Epstein is a non-factor—when we can go and find picture after picture of the two of them together—that’s a very interesting concept, right? This idea that he’s a “non-factor”—well, why were you hanging around with non-factors, Mr. President? What was that about? I think he’s making it worse now that he’s seemingly privy to everything in the files—and suddenly doesn’t want to release them. When he was on the outside, I guess he just wasn’t confident in the investigations and didn’t think there was anything that necessarily linked him. He is, overall, a creep. Like—we know he’s a creep. The question is: is he also a criminal in that way? And the fact that he’s so adamant about not releasing the Epstein files—I think that kind of answers the question.

Is Shakur Stevenson x Devin Haney the fight Zuffa Boxing needs to close out the year on a high note? “If that is a Zuffa event, then that's a big-time end of the year. I don't think it's gonna be a good fight because I don't like their styles, but it's a very significant fight in boxing.” - Dan Canobbio The latest episode of The Uncrowned Beat is available now on Fire TV 📺.

Giannis on the possibility of LeBron James coming to the Miami Heat: “I don’t think I’ll pitch anything to him. I feel like I feel always in his career he made good decisions. That’s what history has shown. Everywhere he’s been, he’s won. If he believes the Miami Heat organization is a good decision for him and his family he should make that decision. He’s one of the greatest players to play this game if not the greatest. From day 1 he offers so much to a team. For me, having a guy like that it will be wonderful to learn from, to pick his brain. He’s a person I definitely look up too. He’s been in Miami, he knows what Miami is about and when he’s ready he’ll decide.” (Via mikecugnocbs4)

"He's got such a good team behind him"- Sean O’Malley praises Umar Nurmagomedov calling him one of the most skilled guys in the division 🔥 "Goddamn, Umar is so f***ing good. He’s so skilled, such a good striker, so good at grappling, and just has such a good team behind him. Skill for skill, I feel like he’s one of the best guys in the division, if not the best guy. The division is so interesting right now. Who does he fight next? I don’t have a fight booked, Umar doesn’t have a fight booked." (via Sean O'Malley )

Arman Tsarukyan reacts to the UFC potentially signing Usman Nurmagomedov and the possibility of a future matchup: “He can beat a lot of guys in our division because, stylistically, he’s so good... I think he beats Gaethje. I think he beats almost everyone in the division. There are some new guys we have to see. The guy who choked out Gamrot... He’s good. Charles Oliveira would be an interesting fight too because Charles can do some submissions, take his back, choke him out, but Usman is good everywhere, so he’s dangerous for everyone. I’ve got to do my work, become a champion, and then we can talk.”

I often feel like the dialogue around Derik Queen, is that he doesn’t provide spacing as a shooter, so he is talked about as a more traditional back to the basket guy. And while I think his footwork on the block is sick, Queen is also a pretty devastating slasher from the perimeter— utilizing the same sick footwork, a tight handle, long smooth strides, the ability to handle contact, and the ability to finish with power or touch. So even if he isn’t stretching the floor yet, Queen can still attack space comfortably, as he’s able to take advantage when teams send two to the ball, make quick decisions when the ball swings his way on the weakside, or just straight up use his handle to beat dudes off the bounce. Yes, he’s a big bodied dude, but he’s quick and agile and when placed in an ecosystem with even more space at the next level, I think he’s going to prove super versatile in how teams can utilize him in different parts of the floor.

Great interview with Clemson HC Dabo Swinney from John Keim on what the #Commanders should expect from WR Antonio Williams: • “A complete player … a guy that’s going to impact the game with the ball, without the ball” • “He’s got elite ball skills. He plays bigger and longer than he is” • “I think he’s probably going to be a slot, but I think he can truly play the Z. I think he can play all three spots” • “Just one of the best kids you’ll meet…he’s not an up and down guy. He’s about his business…”

.Naji on why Dana White has little concern about UFC fighter frustration over Zuffa Boxing’s bigger paydays and fighters having more control: “It feels like UFC is on autopilot at this point... I don’t think he’s worried, but I do think that the UFC guys had to have expected this. They’re loss leaders. Whenever you enter a new space, there will be loss leaders. It’s not just Dana who’s done it. When Turki first got in the game, everybody was making big checks. I think when you first jump into a new space, you’ve got to overpay to get in, and that’s what we’re seeing right now.” Episode 3 of The Uncrowned Beat is available now on Fire TV 📺.

Elon Musk’s “baby mama” Ashley St. Clair laughs awkwardly as she recalls how “interesting” and “intoxicating” he once felt to her younger self. TIM MILLER: “He’s tweeting all night. He’s very manic. He has 13 children… What is it like to be in his orbit?” ST. CLAIR: “When I first met him, I thought he was very interesting. Especially, I was 23, 24 at the time. And guys my age are not talking about philosophy or Schopenhauer or the Greeks.” MILLER: “He’s talking about Schopenhauer?!” ST. CLAIR: “Yes, to a degree.” “So finding someone who could speak about something, and at the time, you think this individual is a part of something so much bigger than themselves, and they’re ‘fighting the good fight.’” “That’s very intoxicating to a young girl who does not have a fully developed prefrontal cortex at the time.” [laughs awkwardly] “So I think there’s been a difference in my view since I’ve developed that.” [laughs again]
