“Cinematic quality” it’s not. Cinema may be fantasy but suspension of disbelief turns it into reality. This does not look like reality. It’s too perfect visually, movement is forced, and space doesn’t make sense. It’s animation. A late friend who was a director told me of the time he and a lot of other directors/DPs were shown a demo of 3rd (I think) generation video side by side with Kodak NCO. Laslo Kovacs said to him, “This is going to put us out of business.” It didn’t but Grok Imagine technology has a way to go if it is going to appeal to anything older than video game enthusiasts. It’s primary application now is advertising which will put a few directors, including some of my former students, out of a job. But as a substitute to photography it has a ways to go.

@elonmusk The cinematic quality is definitely there, but Grok Imagine still seems to struggle with "motion." The movements aren't quite as fluid as they should be yet, @elonmusk. Keep tweaking it!
