Over 55 crore Jan Dhan accounts have been opened, of which over 55% have been by women; and over 66% have been in rural/semiurban centre bank branches. We have taken numerous steps to ensure that financial inclusion does not stop with merely with ‘Banking the Unbanked’ and instead enables meaningful engagement with financial services.
