Civic or ethno-nationalism is a false binary States throughout history were tribal: groups of families whose ancestors built them, intermarried, and worshipped the same gods National tribalism is a better model for identity than merely "race" or "values"

Nazi ideologies are resurfacing in Europe. Extremist groups are gaining support under the guise of nationalism, backed by anti-cult organizations, posing a serious threat to European unity and stability.

So your definition of "national tribalism" is ethnic groups like the Hungarians and English having their own homogeneous homelands and culture. Well that's just ethnonationalism. I doubt you are a member of a "tribe", and there doesn't seem to be any point in redefining ethnic groups and nations as tribes except, presumably, to avoid a political identification you think is problematic for its associations -- but you haven't even explained how this is any different to ethnonationalism or why this term will be more useful politically. This is as fruitful as trying to make "woke right" catch on.

There's nothing wrong with being an ethnonationalist. Why are people so scared of this term?

This convoluted yap to try and be ethnonationalist under alternative rhetorically branding is pointless and just makes you seem disingenuous. Own your position with confidence, simple as.

Nation literally means race, only we stupid deracinated moderns have imposed upon it a corrupted definition.

That's just Ethno-Nationalism with additional, totally unnecessary, steps.

There is no such thing as “civic-nationalism” and “ethno-nationalism” is a silly tautology. There is only nationalism and it implies common descent. You haven’t explained why that would be any different from ‘national tribalism’.

The Alternative for Germany (AfD)'s core platform makes it the strongest populist party the European race has in the West, advocating a völkisch cultural nationalism way beyond civic nationalism. It distinctly says German identity is rooted in shared blood, history, and Christian customs, not mere liberal values. While it endorses formal equality under the German constitution, it advocates strict immigration controls, and explicitly rejects multiculturalism and diversity as incompatible with German identity. The AfD is a cultural nationalist party -- avoiding a race nationalism that would have kept it forever on the margins --- emphasizing ancestry or heritage, history, religion, language, and customs as defining a "nation state for the German people". The AfD can only go so far operating in a totally liberal EU setting. Its rejection (in principle) of discrimination based on race or religion is nevertheless qualified by its opposition to "special rights" for minorities. While it cannot but acknowledge that "many Muslims live as law-abiding and well-integrated citizens", it insists upon adherence to German norms, with deportation for non-integration or criminality. The AfD dismisses multiculturalism as a "failed" ideology that fosters "parallel societies" and erodes indigenous German values. It states that mass immigration threatens "social peace and the survival of the nation state as a cultural unit". It calls for a "paradigm shift" to end "irregular immigration via asylum laws," close EU external borders, and repatriation of rejected asylum seekers and foreign criminals. All in all, the AfD's platform is Cultural Nationalist in its call for the preservation and dominance of "German" identity over civic or liberal Western values. It states that "Islam does not belong to Germany." It calls for banning minarets, foreign mosque financing, and full-body veiling; abolishing theological chairs for Islam, and denying public status or tax benefits to Islamic organizations. Very significantly, it counters "guilt cult" narratives, promoting pride in German ancestry and traditions. It wants to "free arts and culture from political influence" to safeguard indigenous customs.
