Claggy is a cool word.

It reminds me of this.

Claggy? Never heard of it. What you're describing to me is sticky, or gummy? Perhaps, treacly? I often find myself using "bairn," which is odd for someone who's never been out of the States. I see a cute baby or toddler and say, "Awe, look at the wee bairn." I don't know why.

I remember my Dad using it to describe my Mums attempt at a Jamaican Ginger Cake. That cake welded me and my sisters mouth shut haha.

I like the "Scottism." Feels like one of those learning channel shows but with better accents 😁. Much love from America!

From Australia here. Yeah we use the word like the Scottish. Not everyone knows it but especially youngsters. Cheers!

In Ireland I've only ever heard it used to refer to the condition of someone's balls

I love this. I'm English by birth but my family are all immigrants and my Great-Grandma grew up in Scotland. I've only ever used the word claggy the way you do, so now I will always think this is part of my family's journey and remember them when I use it in a sentence :)

American here. Not familiar with claggy, but if the context is good I might not need to ask.

You could pass for punk Georgia Meloni

Ooey gooey stickiness = Claggy 🥰
