Build a loan underwriting agent workflow in ~5 mins 💵🤖 (No code, just English) I built an agentic workflow that can process incoming PDFs of financial statements: checking statements, bank statements, brokerage accounts, and extract/normalize the financials in each source of data. QVAC SDK will support in 0.9.0 (gonna be release in ~10 days) LoRA fine-tuning directly on-device, letting developers customize LLMs with their own data without sending anything to the cloud. You just load a base model, point it at your training dataset, and get a lightweight LoRA adapter back — all running locally. The fine-tuned model can then be used for inference immediately, with no extra setup. Why it matters: LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation) fine-tuning lets you specialize a general-purpose language model for your specific use case — like matching a brand's tone, mastering domain terminology, or following a particular output format — using a fraction of the compute a full fine-tune would require. QVAC handles the entire workflow locally: dataset preparation, training with configurable hyperparameters, checkpoint saving, and seamless inference with the resulting adapter. Your data never leaves the device. The developer experience: Fine-tuning with QVAC is as simple as calling "sdk.finetune()" with your dataset and a few hyperparameters. Training runs entirely on your local hardware, produces a compact LoRA adapter file, and supports pause/resume so you can stop a job and pick it back up without losing progress. Here's a look behind the scenes of how I used a 3d model, generated from an image, as a "driver" for ai animation. In the near future we'll see more 3d tools that support these types of workflows, with much more emphasis on enhancing user input instead of just letting the ai do everything. I used the 3d model to generate keyframes that I then animated in Luma Dream. By using a 3d model with a diffusion "layer" done with Krea, I got quite high quality frames with a relatively high consistency as well since the AI didn't have to "hallucinate" that much. I upscaled and detailed the frames using Magnific. Using semi-detailed 3d models as drivers for gen ai is very powerful, and it allows us to use models that are sculpted in a more free-flowing type of workflow that doesn't rely so much on high surface detailing or very time-consuming finish, but instead relies more on gestural 3d sculpting. #art #ai

New Course: ACP: Agent Communication Protocol Learn to build agents that communicate and collaborate across different frameworks using ACP in this short course built with IBM Research's BeeAI, and taught by Sandi Besen, AI Research Engineer & Ecosystem Lead at IBM, and Nicholas Renotte, Head of AI Developer Advocacy at IBM. Building a multi-agent system with agents built or used by different teams and organizations can become challenging. You may need to write custom integrations each time a team updates their agent design or changes their choice of agentic orchestration framework. The Agent Communication Protocol (ACP) is an open protocol that addresses this challenge by standardizing how agents communicate, using a unified RESTful interface that works across frameworks. In this protocol, you host an agent inside an ACP server, which handles requests from an ACP client and passes them to the appropriate agent. Using a standardized client-server interface allows multiple teams to reuse agents across projects. It also makes it easier to switch between frameworks, replace an agent with a new version, or update a multi-agent system without refactoring the entire system. In this course, you’ll learn to connect agents through ACP. You’ll understand the lifecycle of an ACP Agent and how it compares to other protocols, such as MCP (Model Context Protocol) and A2A (Agent-to-Agent).
