Saw them when they toured with King Diamond here a couple of years ago.

Has that Bay area thash sound Punk influenced metal with heavy downstroke picking and a much higher level of musicianship than your typical garage band while still not sounding over polished

A classic for sure. I remember this well from Headbangers Ball days. Clearly owes a big debt to Metallica & Maiden, but they do it extremely well. Great example of great bass tone in a metal mix. (And always cool to see a Kahler bridge on a bass.)
