@bcherny I have a hard time believing that takes 15 days to complete

@bcherny I'm baffled that people use Claude like this. What quality and cost tradeoff do they get? I use mine like a staff of developers on a project: I talk to each, debate, give them change requests, they commit, we pull, review, etc.

@bcherny rewriting an app that already exists pixel by pixel is the best possible case for an llm, you have a spec, a target, and a diff to check against. greenfield engineering with no reference app is a different animal entirely

@bcherny Unlimited Fable must be nice :p

@bcherny Running a prompt for two straight weeks is pure madness.

@bcherny infinite token flex

@bcherny a single prompt to run for 15 straight days just to eliminate Electron from his sight

@bcherny the "prompt"

@bcherny 15 days on one prompt rebuilding Claude Desktop in Swift. Was the hard part the pixel fidelity, or not letting it "helpfully" rewrite the architecture on day 8?

@bcherny its still running?

@bcherny Yeah I think he don’t have to pay for the token and OpenAi

@bcherny So 15 million to port an app maybe.
