Claude Code on desktop now has an in-app browser. Claude can pull up docs, designs, or any other site. It can read, click through, and interact the same way it does with your local dev servers. It's sandboxed and configurable: you choose whether sessions persist.

Make sure to update to the latest version of the desktop app. Read more in the docs:

please continue to invest time in claude code desktop im tired of using the terminal. its ugly and depressing

@trq212 Can you guys build in a mini game i can play while Claude is doing its thing

Everything is awesome until I remember I hit the usage limit so quickly!

How long does this usually take? The update getting to all users?

@trq212 So cool. Now do reset.

This is my favorite way to learn new things. Open a document on the web like a research paper PDF and ask any question. Whatever you don't understand, ask Claude to explain it in simple terms.

Why it needs browsers to pull up docs ? it can use Curl for that man simple only for filling forms we need browser

Dang, where do you guys come up with these crazy features? All jokes aside this will be useful for people who utilize the desktop app. I haven't used it since February for coding, it would frequently bug out when context got too long and I literally couldn't continue conversing, not sure if that was fixed.

did i get early access? cause ive had this for at least 3 months...

looks familiar

Next: in-app messenger to your co-workers

Now I get that these weren’t just experiments… Another fun fact: they were doing the same thing at the OS level

@trq212 Now add iOS simulator and we’re cooking

VC funded startups building AI browsers rn

I have been very patiently waiting for this...

Okay, now I can build GTA 7 before the release of GTA 6.

Having the browser sandboxed makes it way easier to trust it with internal docs.

See kids? Competition is GOOD. Now we're movin'. Loving every bit of it.

Any chance we could get an option to not force the server to start? In a lot of setups the dev server is already running in the background, so a fresh start just gets in the way. Even a lighter version would be great: let me configure a tool call to run instead (drop caches command, or restart the service bash if it's already up), plus set one or more default URLs to load like localhost:8000 Would make this fit existing workflows really nicely. Thanks for considering it 🙏

Claude has released more updates in 1 year than IOS in 15 years

you guys are copying codex at every turn with no shame. You are not leading anymore, Codex engineers are creative and really care about the users and giving us resets every few days. While you guys charge 4x or 5x what they charge for same performance and are super dodgy about it

sorry irmão, eu prefiro o @orca_build

This was sorely needed

Awesome, you guys did it! Thank you so much! 🔥

It would be nice to be able to open the browser without having to send a message first

meanwhile random dude pulling out html doc

I waited for this, such a great feature!! Finally I can get rid of Chrome 👌

Claude got social presence that nobody ever has

Nice! Time to show my gf how to make apps and stuff 🥰

cant wait for claude to open my bank account and just stare at my balance in disbelief

You should just acquire @superdoteng already and put your desktop app out of its misery. That thing is an absolute abomination

does it supports multiple tabs?

good job
