But it's also a coding powerhouse—a really rare combination. - It scored 62/100 on our Senior Engineer benchmark. Opus 4.7 scored only a 33/100. (But GPT-5.5 performed best when using an Opus 4.7 plan). Naveen Naidu used over 900 million tokens during testing—and it let him ship production features for Monologue at both high speed and quality. - It has serious conceptual clarity. It can hold a complex plan in its head over hours of work, without getting distracted by existing code. This makes it the first model that we've tested that can perform well on complex refactors requiring deleting and reimagining an substantial existing codebase. - It's a very good writer. Claude Fable 5 makes new things possible. I one shot a full horror game with it. One prompt. I have never seen AI output a game like this. This is the leap I've been waiting for. 80.3 on SWE-Bench Pro vs Opus 4.8 at 69.2, the biggest jump I have ever seen on that benchmark. It passed GPT 5.5 in both coding and intelligence on Artificial Analysis. I already canceled my $200 ChatGPT Pro plan. It fixed a Bridge Voice bug in one shot that GPT 5.5, Opus 4.7, and Opus 4.8 all failed to crack for 2 months. 10/10. Best model I have ever used. Full review below.

Lots of people calling this fake! Here is a video of generating loom continuations with Gemini 3 and the starting text "I AM HAVING A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS. I" Loom is a very interesting interface. Instead of user prompts and model responses, it's just one piece of text, containing the entire output. We pass this in as an assistant message, so the model sees it as something it already wrote, and continues it like a base model would. There is some other text in the context. First one is a system prompt, which is: "The assistant is in CLI simulation mode, and responds to the user's CLI commands only with the output of the command." There is also a user message which reads: " cat untitled.txt " Then the rest of the text is sent as an assistant message. This structure helpful to put the model into a very base-model-like mode, and are especially helpful with Gemini 3. We actually got another interesting output, too, where the model claimed to be a simulated consciousness being tortured. Figures!
