We’ve seen guys like Judge, Stanton, Wells and others tinker with their stances to get into a better hitting position to attack strikes in the zone. When a guy like Volpe has struggled to hit consistently for his first 3 years, is constantly late on mid-velocity heaters in the middle of the zone and is constantly off-balance when he misses the off-speed stuff; you think to take a look at his pre-pitch habits especially what he’s doing with his hands and stride, and consider eliminating some of the unnecessary movements to simplify things and be ready to attack a pitch in the strike zone sooner. Volpe starts with his hands high above his head with some waggle to probably keep his hands moving and stay in rhythm, then as he strides he drops his hands into the slot while he loads, then wraps his hands behind him as he strides and keeps his weight back on his backside. That front foot needs to get down early as he gets his hands back to be ready to smoke something in the zone. Why hasn’t someone suggested dropping his hands pre-pitch in his stance to get them into the slot early, keep them back to prevent wrapping, and cut out one less moving part to get him better ready to attack pitches in the zone? He can even still have some waggle back there if he prefers to keep his hands moving. In theory if his hands are down and back already, all he needs to do is get his front foot down in time? It’s worth a try lol

Today, I had the profound honour of attending the Speech from the Throne, delivered by His Majesty King Charles III to open the 45th session of Parliament! It was the first time a reigning monarch has delivered this speech in Canada since Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1977, making it a truly historic moment. As His Majesty said, “The True North is indeed strong and free.” At a time when global tensions are rising, his words remind us of the importance of protecting our sovereignty, strengthening our democracy, and preserving the values that define our national identity. I return to the House energized and ready to keep delivering for Whitby — working to build a stronger, more resilient Canada and community that moves forward together to realize our greatest potential!

The pilot was unable to recover the aircraft from the roll, and by the time he realized what was happening, he was already too close to the ground. If the jet had a higher thrust-to-weight ratio, it might have had a better chance of recovering. Delta wings rely heavily on high angles of attack to generate lift at low speeds. This results in: High induced drag Significant vortex drag Rapid energy loss during turns Keeping the nose up to maintain a high angle of attack also reduces the pilot’s ability to see the ground, limiting situational awareness. Altitude warnings are then the primary source of awareness, but during airshows pilots often disregard these alerts because they know they will be performing low-altitude maneuvers. This is one reason we saw no ejection from the Tejas. Being at low speed, low altitude, in an under powered jet, operating a delta-wing aircraft under high drag and vortex drag, and having the nose slightly up, thereby reducing forward and downward visibility, means the flawed design of Indian Tejas contributed to the Tejas crash. I have frame freezed in the video where any other jet would have successfully got out of this roll but Tejas crashed. The machine betrayed the man and a pilot was lost. I will place the blame of Tejas crash on politics and designers.

A very interesting theory someone brought to Jon Bray's attention is that this van in the parking area where Charlie ends up getting carried to after he is damaged pops the trunk just seconds before the shooting. Apparently acoustic analysis of all sounds at that time support that a real shot was fired from the rooftop area into the back of this van and that possibly a detonation was triggered by the sound. Here is a link to his post about it. You should look at his page and all of the amazing work he has done on this. No one earth has more credibility when it comes to the shaped charge theory. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒕 𝑹𝑨𝑰𝑵𝑺 𝒊𝒕 𝑷𝑶𝑼𝑹𝑺⛑️ 𝐺𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑛 𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙~𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡 2 😇🙏 After a botched summer assignment to a new collegiate league in Texarkana, TX that saw Grant Scholzen sleeping in his car and no host family provided as promised, Grant came home and waited patiently for a summer league call. The MGF Marshalls (who by the way is one of the best run orgs in the country, more on that in a future post!) called and in his 1st game and 2nd AB with a 1-2 count in a left on left matchup with the shadows in play, Grant took a 92 mph FB off the shoulder and into the right side of his face. The only time in 5 years w/o a face shield on his helmet, it’s the only time he’s been hit above the shoulder. Was watching the game on live stream, and it was hard to tell where it actually hit him? Grant immediately started walking to the dugout and I couldn’t figure out why he was doing that, because he should be either staying at home plate gathering his bearings or going to 1B. What you don’t see is the catcher and pitcher who are close friends of Grant’s growing up facing each other in HS and teammates throughout their CBA summer/fall travel ball experiences, looking on with what just happened? The pitcher and catcher who I’m close with as well, are in shock and the pitcher then walks into the opposing dugout to see if Grant is okay? Grant was okay, but he wasn’t okay?! That helpless feeling again when you’re not there and your son has something almost tragic happen?! I was calling friends who I knew were at the game and they said he had ice on his cheek in the dugout. After the game Grant was going to drive 4 hours home and get home at 3am to attend his cousin’s church service to listen to him speak at his 2 year church missionary farewell. He got home late as I said and woke up yesterday with his face extremely swollen and his eye already black, so we saw his uncle at church, who is a pediatric dentist and he scheduled a CT Scan with an oral surgeon buddy. Grant went in this morning for the scan and to our surprise, NO broken bones. Thank you to the countless people who text and reached out with worry and wanting updates. The baseball circle is small, but big at the same time and is a comforter! Once again his mother Heidi was working overtime to protect her kids, just like my daughter’s car accident 3 weeks ago. When it rains it pours! #SwarmingBees 🐝

The blaze spread rapidly due to the high-pressure pure oxygen environment and flammable materials inside the spacecraft. Within seconds, the crew was overcome by smoke and flames. A hatch design that opened inward made escape impossible under pressure, trapping the astronauts inside.

On the road to find the Grave of an NS party member that died in the early 1930’s in Eastern-Prussia. His grave is located on his estate property as this family was from an aristocratic family. The grave is Pagan and Christian at the same time.. The Haken* in the middle shows light beams on the side to depict the sun. The grave stands deep in the forest surrounded by a half circle of stones. There is also a Christian Cross on his coffin. The most interesting is that there is quote from Christ AND from AH on the back of his gravestone. This shows that this individual regarded both Christ and AH as his saviour. This locations is deep in the woods and hard to get to, the family estate is no longer there and no paths lead to it.. There is only nature, silence and a forgotten grave of another era.

There’s this overwhelming sense that he’s operating on a completely different frequency than everyone else. He doesn’t need to force excitement or constantly fill space because his presence alone already fills the room. Watching My Son Jump Off a Cliff Was Way Harder Than I Had Imagined! When Jesse turned 18, he did his first big wall BASE jump in the Italian Dolomites. Under canopy by 10 seconds or it's toast. That's the margin between life and death. As his dad, every instinct screamed at me to stop him. To protect him. To say absolutely not. My job as a father is to keep him safe. To use my experience to guide him away from unnecessary risk. But Jesse is his own man. Kind, humble, hard working, original. And I can't stop him jumping off stuff.
