Cloud “dreaming” about Aerith before the GS date.

It naturally flows into the GS date with Aerith. You have this big, important and shocking scene that is wholly centered around Aerith's fate and how Cloud has to get better in order to save her. It's so out of place to get any other character for the date.

It continues to show who was the intended date all along, even before that you have Cloud and Aerith talking to Dio about fighting the next day in order to get the keystone.

@KoreArgento_Al @Focus1178 If I had to guess it’s because Aerith made Cloud more open so he didn’t high five Tifa in Remake but his development with Aerith made him do it with Tifa this time. It’s like that one quote says “she helps melt his frost exterior”.
