I can’t believe I’m saying this but CNN just did some amazing reporting CNN used internet archives to find a top Democrat running for Senate in Michigan scrubbed his social media of thousands of posts showing his intention is to defund the police Muslim Democrat candidate Abdul El-Sayed “deleted thousands of tweets before launching his campaign. Among them were ones from 2020, in which he fully backed the controversial defund the police movement, calling police standing armies, and saying that cities should shift funding from law enforcement to social services. In interviews at the time, he regularly said things like this. ‘When we talk about the question of, quote, unquote, defunding the police, it's a question of asking, how do we right size government away from the racist ideologies that have led us to investing in war material for policing rather than public health for children’ Now, those posts are gone. His website doesn't mention police at all. It's a big shift from his old rhetoric and it's not hard to see why. A Fox News poll from July, 2020 showed 82% of Michigan registered voters had a favorable view of their local police.” CNN literally just caught another Democrat hiding their true intentions because they’re running for office Muslim Democrat Abdul El-Sayed’ religion has been a notable aspect of his public profile, including during his 2018 bid to become the first Muslim governor in U.S. history (he lost the Democratic primary) and now in his 2026 Senate campaign. Tuesday's Michigan Democratic Senate primary race remains close, with progressive Abdul El-Sayed holding onto a small lead over moderate Haley Stevens as votes continue to be counted. El-Sayed told "CBS Mornings" his campaign is focused on uniting Democrats after the hard-fought primary and defeating Republican Mike Rogers in November. He said, "We welcome anybody and everybody who understands that we need a government of the people, by the people and for the people."

The cover-up in Michigan just got even worse. A massive CNN K-File investigation caught Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed scrubbing over 100 videos to hide his extreme views before the primary. But it turns out that was just the tip of the iceberg and even fellow Democrats are sounding the alarm. Look at the radical, un-American ideology he tried to delete from the public record: The 2nd Amendment: He caught heavy heat for a video suggesting we "tweak" and replace the Second Amendment with a right to healthcare. The 4th of July: He released a video titled "Why Fireworks Suck," urging Americans to find another way to celebrate Independence Day. The Southern Border: He claimed the border crisis was just an issue Republicans "love to flog" and that it doesn't even make the top 5 issues Americans care about. American Culture: He went after football, linking the sport to toxic masculinity, slavery, and manifest destiny. Attacking Female Leaders: High-profile Michigan Democrats publicly blasted El-Sayed, with Rep. Hillary Scholten telling CNN that he has a "uniquely sexist bent." He targeted his female opponents by calling them "empty vessels" who couldn't "string together two coherent sentences." "Defund the Police" Erasure: Reports from The New York Times reveal he also wiped thousands of old tweets to hide his past public support for the radical "Defund the Police" movement. Now that he narrowly won his primary and faces Republican Mike Rogers in November, his campaign claims these deleted videos and anti-police stances "don't reflect his beliefs today" and that he magically loves the 2nd Amendment and football.
