Graham Platner puts Democrats at an important crossroads. Are we going to hold the moral standard that Republicans abandoned? Or is the greater good to be found in doing whatever it takes to retake the U.S. Senate— even with a flawed candidate? I believe in redemption. But redemption requires accountability and honesty. I hope Platner does better on those two counts, going forward. Regardless, the people of Maine have a tough decision.

There are Democrats who have concerns about Platner, but the idea that we’ll be lectured by folks that support Donald Trump and want Texans to choose Ken Paxton is ludicrous.
